*Snows POV*

It's been days alone, Lucinda was gone, taken again by the alpha, who I still do not know the name of, or anything about him. He was secretive, almost silent in the way he moved. You didn't know he was in the room until he made a move, his breathing was silent, unlike that of Ryan, who sounded like an angry bull. Trampling over the stone, every movement heard even before he enters this part of the cave. I despise Ryan, I despise him with everything I have.

I sat in the cage, like everyday, always the same, clawing at the bars or holding them within my curled fingers, the bars unmoving in my grasp. But alongside Ryan's set of footsteps, there was 2 more. More unsteady than the loudest but still there none the less. Children. Thrown into a cage, a reflection of mine. They were shaking, arms rapped around each other. A girl and a boy. Ryan slammed closed the door and locked it tight, walking away without a word. He approached me, a sly smile set upon his ugly pale face. Don't worry Snow, soon we will be together again...forever" his laugh was evil, but I ignored it, just as he turned his back to me, I grabbed his neck, pulling him closer to the bars, purposefully hitting his head against them. "Leave my friends alone, and that wolf pack. They have done nothing to you, and nothing could EVER keep me with you! That's a promise." I dropped him and he scuttled away, like a crab running back to the shelter of stones in a rock pool.

My attention turned to the petrified children. I wanted to reach out and hold them, pull them close, run my fingers through their hair and tell them everything was going to be fine. But they were so far away, far out of reach. I tried to keep my voice calm as I spoke to them. It was the only way I could give them hope. "Hi pups...are you okay? There is no need to be scared, I know this place it dark and musky, but I won't let him hurt you, I promise you that." They jumped as I first spoke, clearly not noticing me standing there, head pressed against the bars of the cage. I could only just make out their outline, and the boys head.

"What are your names pups?" Although they were humans, calling them pups was just a normal thing I do now, unless in the presence of humans who despise werewolves. One of them piped up. The boy. "We aren't meant to tell strangers our names..." He spoke with as much confidence as he could bring to his voice, locks of blonde hair falling down over his face. He looked like Garroth. Tears threatened to escape from where they were building up behind me eyes but I forced them back. I had to be strong, for the kids sake. I smiled sweetly at them. "Oh that's fine, don't worry about it then."

I had no chance to say more, I heard footsteps making their way down the tunnel. Ryan and the Alpha were there, standing on a ledge crafted of stone. They made their way down, standing not too far away from the cages. The girl cub burst out, demanding the answers to her questions. "Where is my brother?!! You better not of hurt them!" I heard the alpha laugh slightly, then turn to Ryan. It was hard to make out but I heard enough to get a gist of the conversation. Ryan was to teach the girl a lesson for speaking out of line. He took a pole, crafted of metal, sharp at one end. He pointed it at her edging forward. I couldn't let him do that, not to a child. I kicked him in the back of the head, only just managing to reach his head from the cage. Spinning round and buzzing with anger, Ryan glared at me. I growled, much more intimidating than his pathetic attempt at a snarl. "Leave them alone or you'll be sorry!"  Ryan looked to the Alpha, who nodded. I still stood by the bars, filled with rage. Ryan threw away the bar of metal, grabbing me by the chin. He gripped me so hard i felt like i couldnt breathe, but i wasnt going to give up, not yet. He slapped me, hard across the face. I tried pulling away but his grasp on me was too strong, I was powerless from inside the cage. Ryan hissed into my face "Now you know not to speak out of line, my love, but yet you still do. Time to teach you a lesson"

He raised his right hand, which before now had been hidden inside his pocket. In his hand, he held a rock. He brought it up in line with my face, and with a powerful blow, smashed it into the side of my head. It did no real damage since my skull is thicker than most humans, but it hurt like hell. I julted to the side, laying agaist the rusted metal floor of the cage. I heard the cubs scream out, trying to draw attention from me so I could recover. "Please! Dont hurt her anymore! She doesnt deserve this it was our fault!" They shouted, but Ryan and the Alpha were gone.

The side of my head stung, and I could feel blood oozing out of the wound. The world around me was spinning, and I was lost in darkness. Lost in darkness again.
