Snow's POV

When I woke, I felt a warm flame against my back, but my surroundings were different. I shifted my sleek grey head. the fur from my long coat was still tinted from the potion, and thankfully I would have a few more months before I would have to take another potion.

I opened my eyes and blinked. The dark stone walls I was surrounded by looked familiar but at the same time, I couldn't place were. I could sense other wolves around me...pure wolves. They were of all different colours and sizes. Males, females, pups. Dark grey wolves, black wolves, red wolves, cobalt wolves...everything apart from light grey...

I felt a hand gently stroke my back. I jumped up and spun around. The girl was standing over me, whispering to me gently. "Hush little one...you are safe here..." who is she...? She cant be a human...or a werewolf...what is she...? She can communicate with me while in wolf form...how is that possible.

She lay a piece of meat in front of me and sat down, watching me. In any other circumstances I would have refused, but right now I was too hungry to complain. I ate quickly, cleaning off the meat until it was only the bone left. She smiled, reaching out a hand to touch my ears, my muzzle. I backed away, knocking into a pair of large wolves who snarled at me. The girl hissed and they instantly stopped, got up, and trotted away. I need to get out of here...they might not know who I am right now...but when they do find out...I'm toast! I looked towards the entrance of the cave, then back at her, my eyes pleading. She sighed, getting up and wondering over to stand next to me.

"I'm sorry, but you cannot leave until the Alpha sees you" she hissed out his name like it was venom. The hatred that filled the word wasn't hidden. I lowered my head, feeling defeated, and she sensed my sorrow. Her voice was soft and gentle, and her words were kind. "I will try my best to help you out of here, I'm sure you have a pack which needs you" I thought in my head, yeah I actually do. But there was no use trying anything. I would just have to wait until the alpha gets back. I lay down again, resting my head on my paws. I closed my eyes and drifted off.

Aaron's POV

I walked back the way I came. Snow had managed to outrun me. I tried to follow her for a while but I soon lost her completely. If only she didn't have to be so stubborn. I walked back through the clearing, the wind picking up.

Pushing open the lodge door, I walked inside. Lucinda instantly ran up to me. "Did you find her?" I shook my head and sighed. "I lost her. I'm sorry Garroth." He glanced up from where he sat, comforting Kim. He tried to smile reassuringly but we could all tell he was worried. "She is strong...I just hope she is strong enough..."

Snow's POV

It was sunset when I was awoken. I felt a rough nudge on my side and opened my eyes. Two amber eyes stared down at me, and I instantly got up. "Alpha here, you meet" I nodded, following after him. The cave was empty apart from a small circle of females who lay sleeping with their pups. My heart quickened was we neared the entrance. You can do this snow...this is my only chance of escape...let's not screw this up...for dad...

The outside area of the cave was a small clearing, filled with many different wolves all howling and chattering. I didn't see anyone who resembled an alpha. Where is the alpha...? I kept my head low and my ears forward, trying to look small and innocent, weak if possible. I sat were I was directed, feeling more uncomfortable as the wolves turned their eyes to me. Most of them were curious but some seemed hostile. Fear crept up my spine. Breathe snow, you can do this.

I sat there for quite a while, scanning my surroundings for any way to escape, but there was nothing. Then I heard a voice from behind which made me jump. It wasn't the voice of a wolf, it sounded different...more...human. It shocked me when I realised the alpha was a human...no...a werewolf?! He was cloaked in black and had a hood pulled down over his eyes. He seemed familiar but I couldn't quite place where.

His voice was strong and confident...why did the girl despise him so much? "HUNTER! Where is this female wolf you speak of?!" The girl was standing near and screwed up her face when she heard she was being called to. She stayed still, but lifted her arm and pointed at me. "There she is Alpha, but she has a pack of her own, please let her leave soon" he grinned at me, stepping forward and grasping hold of my muzzle. "What is a pretty wolf like you doing out here, hmm?" I looked up at where I thought his eyes would be, staring defiantly and not speaking. He let go of me and dropped me back. "Beta! Come here!"

My jaw dropped when I saw who stepped out from behind if the Alpha. RYAN! "Ah, beta. Make up a place for our guest to sleep." Said the Alpha with a voice like acid. I couldn't hold back my anger. I snarled at him, my eyes like fire. He narrowed his eyes. "Hostile one eh? Well I can sort that out pretty quick...more wolves the better to get my Snow back...stupid girl to try and defy me...ill show her..." I snapped back into my innocent act, tilting my head and trying to play along as he disappeared. The alpha snarled at him. "Don't forget what your really helping me do...Snow is just a fall back plan...That Snake of a human~wolf is my real target...I WILL get revenge..." Ryan rolled his eyes and walked away.

Who is he talking about? It has to be one of us...but who...? I let the girl, who was seemingly called Hunter, lead me back into the cave. I lay down, beaten and tired...I just want to get back to them...she stroked her hand down my neck and soon I drifted off to sleep.
