Snow's POV
When I woke, the sun was high and it was midday. I sat forward, stretching my arms and yawning. Suddenly I felt two arms grasp hold of me and wrap themselves around my waist. I tilted my head back and rested it on Garroth's chest. He leaned down, kissing my forehead, smiling slighting, a worried look glazing his eyes. When he spoke, he sounded tired and relieved. "Snow...thank god your awake. You don't know how worried I have been. What happened to you...?" I smiled, wincing at the pain which still found its way down my neck.
Garroth dropped his arms and stepped back, giving me the space I needed to get up. I placed my feet on the floor and pushed myself up, balancing for no more that 5 seconds. I lifted my head but the the pain that hit me was unbearable. I fell forwards, trying to steady myself but I was unable to. Garroth caught me before I hit the ground, and placed me down gently. My eyes were tight shut, and my body was stiff, I couldn't move. Garroth leaned down, a worried expression set upon his face. "Snow?! Snow hold on, I'm going to get Lucinda!" He turned and disappeared from vision.
It felt like hours before they came back, I couldn't move which meant I couldn't shift my body weight. The pain was shocking. It felt like I had been hit by lightning, but a worse lightning than humanly possible. My body was shivering out of control, and my reflexes were acting up. Lucinda was kneeling beside me, examining me closely. I couldn't see her expression, but for a moment I could sense she was scared, the same fear I felt myself. When she spoke, her voice quivered slightly. "Snow...snow I need you to turn into your human self. You have been poisoned by an enchanted object, and the more energy and the quicker your body reacts, the quicker the poison will get into your system. It's not too deep yet, still curable but I don't know how. I can give you a potion to to get you back on your feet, but I'm not expert in healing magic, that's all I can do for you from here." She didn't wait for me to agree, but I was in too much pain to even respond anyway. She threw the potion over me, and I felt my body relax, the pain easing but still there. I took no time to think, instantly turning into my weaker self, my human self. But something seemed wrong.
My usual turning was quick and simple, but this took longer. Then I was momentarily blinded, a dazzling light which I had never seen before surround my vision, protecting me from everything. It was beautiful, but weakened me greatly. I felt the pain which had started to attack my whole body, dissolved. There was a thumping in my head, but I was healed. Lucinda stared blankly at me, amazed and shocked. I felt exactly the same way. What in the world had just happened?
