"I'm on my way home. I'll be there as soon as I can. I love you."
I just got off from work and Austin is driving me home, back to Allana, after a long days work. It's a friday, which means Allana is making dinner. I like it when she makes dinner. Which she does every friday.
It has been three months since the wedding and Allana has been three months pregnant and she does better than Kate did when she was pregnant with George, William wished me luck, what to expect when your wife is pregnant, morning sickness, which Allana does not experience and did not experience.
Allana spends her time on her Lazboy couch, no, reclining Lazboy couch as she says, on the center of our room, facing the fireplace, reading a bunch books. Sometimes, she gets books from the bookstore herself, sometimes I get them for her, sometimes Austin gets them, or sometimes, we buy books together. Like a date.
And I want one of Allana's couch. I could only sit on the armrest, probably to hold Allana's coffee or hold her hand or just enjoy the heat.
As I enter our room, Allana was in the bathroom.
"Honey, I'm home."
Allana came out. Looking all green.
"Babe? You okay?"
She managed to nod and went back to the bathroom and threw up.
I entered to pull her hair up.
I rubbed her back.
"You okay?"
I let go of her hair and she washed her face and brushed her teeth.
"Could you change first? While I'm still brushing my teeth?" She said that with the toothbrush on her mouth.
"Okay. I love you."
"Love you too."
I changed in to a black v-neck shirt and black shorts, and lay down on the bed.
"Hey, are you feeling better?" I asked her.
"Yeah, although, not better, I'm okay, it's just the pregnancy hormones." She lay down the bed, and settled her head on my chest, like what she always does.
Allana's just wearing a pink camisole with black shorts, and it somehow exposes her small baby bump.
"So, how was your day?" She asked me.
" It was fine, tiring. But all of that is gone now, now that you're lying on my chest. "
"So, what's for dinner? I'm starving. Been waiting for this for a whole week." I asked her.
She sat up.
" Holy shit! Dinner." She exclaimed.
She stood up and almost ran while tripping a lot of times.
I ran toward her.
"No need to hurry. It's just dinner."
She frowned at me. "Don't make me hurry about things! Especially friday night dinners."
I kissed her on her forehead.
"I'm sorry. I'm just excited for this one."
"Why?"
We walked to the stairs, arm in arm.
"Uh, well, I don't know why."
She laughed. "What do you want for dinner?"
Huh, what do I want for dinner?
"Uh, buffalo wings with potatoes."
She frowned. "How about, omelletes with onions and cheese and bacon?"
"Okay. That'll do. "
It's not exactly dinner material.
"I'm sorry, I could cook buffalo wings with potatoes if I was feeling a little bit well."
"So, you're not feeling well."
"No."
I just got a bright idea.
"What if I cook for a change? Just until you feel better."
We stopped walking in front of our official wedding photo, the photo of us, and on the other wall, the official wedding photo of the two parties.
"You? Cook? You cook a lot better than William right?"
"Yes, in fact I do. A lot, lot, lot better."
"As long as you cook good and don't make me throw up on your cooking. I only accept hormone-related throw ups."
I embraced her.
"Or we could just eat at William's place." I suggested. "
"Yeah, that's a great idea."
"I'll ring them."
Allana sat down on the chair near our portrait. She put her head on her hands.
I knelt down in front of her.
"You okay?"
"No, could we just stay on bed? My head's really killing me. And maybe order pizza from the kitchen?"
"Okay, let's go back."
Allana barely stood up when she sat back down.
" Shoot! This headache is really fucked up!"
I hope she does not use that language when the baby comes.
"Can you walk?" I asked while holding her hand.
"No."
"Put your arms around my neck. I'll carry you back."
"What?"
"What? Since you can't walk, and I am not comfortable letting the helps carry you, I'll carry you myself."
She nodded and put her arm around my neck and I literally swooped her up.
She rested her head on my shoulder while we walk back.
"You're so light."
"What?"
"I just thought you'd be heavy."
" I'm still in my first trimester."
"No. I mean, I expected you'd be a lot muscular."
"Oh, no. My foot are not that coordinated. I couldn't even dance."
"You couldn't or you wouldn't."
"Couldn't. "
She couldn't dance. Cute.
" Neither can I."
She smiled.
