Allana's Perspective
Harry fell asleep with his laptop on his chest.
So, I removed it from his chest so that he could breathe easier.
And then he burst wide awake.
" Hey. " he said
" Hi. " I said
" Anything wrong? " he asked
" Uh, no. I was just- never mind. Go back to sleep."
He put his arm on my shoulder, sitting himself up.
" What were you, uh, doing? " I said
" Uh, well, I was just thinking of names. " he said
" Names? "
" Like, what are we going to call our-"
" Yeah? " I said as I broke free and got his laptop.
And it was blank.
The document was blank.
" It's blank. " I said
He smiled.
He took the Mac away from me.
" Actually, no. I protected it. " he said as he typed stuff.
" So, you actually came up with names? "
" Yes, I did. "
" And I hope they're not silly. "
" They're not! "
I have to admit, I am a little bit hurt that Harry came up with names with me asleep.
" Hey, don't be mad at me. I know how this feels, so, I just came up with names that we can choose from. And, you are very welcome to add into the list. "
" Not just welcome. It's my right. " I said
" I know. "
I just looked at him.
" Okay, lemme see! " I said
" Okay. " he said as he showed me the laptop.
" Could you just settle it down on my legs? " I said
" Or, I could hold it? I don't mind. "
" Are you sure? "
" Yeah, it's not a very long list. "
" Okay. "
" See, I kinda made it a thing to use our first letters, I mean, have the letters A and H in the name. "
" Good idea. "
" And the list is not arranged yet, I just typed in the names. "
" Okay, show me please? "
And he did.

Henry
Harriet

Zachary
Margaret
David
Joseph
Anne

Allana
And the list stopped.
" That's all? " I said
" You wanted more?"
" Well, I thought you came up with this for hours. "
" No, I came up with that for thirty minutes! And then I fell asleep. "
" What? "
" Are you mad or what? "
" Why would I be mad? "
" Good! So, what do you think? "
I smiled.
" All we have to do is to combine them. " I said
" Yes. "
I sighed.
" If it's gonna be a girl, we'd definitely have your mother's name in it. " I said
" Really? "
"Yeah. "
