[Author's Note: Hi! It's me, if you are curious why I updated Turning Point again, it's because I unpublished the third part of the series, I didn't like how it ended and I wanted to have a different ending. So, I'm going to extend this. Thank you for reading!]
The thing is, we just got home from the hospital and now we were on our way back to it.
"Love, just hold on, yeah?" I said
I'm shaking like crazy, I mean, my wife just got fucking shot in our house, which is supposed to be safer than ever because most of the members of the British Royal Family are there!
We are on our way to St. Mary's and my wife is hanging on by a thread.
"Harry-" she started to whisper.
"Love, you don't need-"
"Harry, don't you think you're overreacting?" She said
"Love, you just got fucking shot! By your sister. For heaven's sake, what the hell happened to my son's eardrums?!"
She breathed.
"Oh my god, I need to-" she tried standing up.
"Love, don't-" I said as I put her back down.
"Fuck me, this hurts." She said
"I know, love-"
She got shot on her left shoulder, and it is bleeding ever so badly.
"Have you ever felt that life is flashing by your eyes?" She said
"Love, you just got shot on your shoulders-"
"I need to see my son, if he could still hear us."
"I know, and I'm going to call William as soon as you get your shoulder fixed."
"No, call your brother and ask him about-"
"You do know that Carmela has a silencer-"
"You're overreacting, Harry."
"Love, you spat blood, and you are covered in blood-"
"Are any of my organs show signs of damage?" Allana asked the EMT.
"Your heart rate is slowing down, ma'am." He said
"See? My heart rate is slowing down. Must be because my shoulder is near my....."
And then she lost consciousness.
"Love?"
I looked at the heart monitor, and it's bad.
She lost consciousness in front of the hospital.
Everything was so fast, because the next thing I knew I was sitting in the waiting room, covered in blood, shaking like a chihuahua.
I've survived a tour or two in actual war, seen people get shot but it's different when your wife just got home from giving life to your son and then getting shot the minute she steps in the house.
"Sir?" Austin suddenly said, I stood up.
"Austin, what happened?"
"Sir, Carmela is in custody and your son is fine."
"He can hear?"
"Yes, sir. The royal pediatric surgeon just checked him."
"Are we on the news?"
"Yes, sir."
"What does it say?"
"It's probably the end of the weirdest sibling rivalry."
"Where is my son?"
"With the Duke of Cambridge, sir."
"Are they safe?"
"Yes, sir."
"I'm not gonna lose her, Austin."
"We won't, sir."
"We don't have assurance of that."
"No, sir."
"I just don't think it is fair that I'm gonna lose someone again without saying a proper goodbye."
"Sir, maybe that's how you'll learn to cherish the time that you had together."
"Austin, you've seen me when my mother died. I was no where fit to be anyone-"
"I know, sir."
"Not even fit to be me."
We sat there for two more hours.
"Austin, what was in the news? That Carmela shot her?"
"No, sir. That she was just shot on the way back to-"
I nodded.
"Keep it that way."
"Yes, sir."
And then the door to the operating room opened and Allana was wheeled out.
"Doctor, how is she?" I said
"The surgery went fine. The bullet did not damage any-"
"Harry, I'm fine." I heard Allana said
The doctor swallowed.
"You're awake?" I said as I looked at her.
"Yes. "
She had her arm in a sling and-
"I want to go home." She said
"Uh-" I looked at the doctor.
"Although we recommended that we keep her under observation,-"
"I'm going to leave, I need to be with my son. I don't know if you have heard, but I just gave birth to one-"
I looked at the doctor.
"I didn't quite catch your name, uh, doctor-" I said
"Edmund." The doctor said.
"Right, Dr. Edmund, thank you very much for your efforts." I said
He nodded.
"Uh, sir, can I have a word with you?" Dr. Edmund said
"Well, I can't just be here in the middle of the OR hallway in a bed." Allana spat.
"Love, please." I said
"Well, I can't be-"
"Love." I said
Dr. Edmund and I went to a corner, and I saw Allana sitting up.
"Sir, I forgot to pay my respects a while ago, please do forgive me." He said, bowing.
"It's fine. I didn't even notice it a while ago." I said
He nodded.
"Well, I do apologize for my wife-"
"It is understandable sir, she just gave birth, with the sudden surge of hormones, and plus, she just got shot."
"How is she?" I said
"The good thing is that, the bullet did not do any damage to any organs, it steered perfectly clear from any major organs and blood vessels. But as was seen, she did get hit in the shoulder, and I would consider the Duchess very lucky because her major nerve that helps in arm function didn't get any damaged."
I nodded.
"Is it okay if we go home today?" I asked
"Although it is recommended that we keep her under observation-"
"Is she at risk of anything?"
"Sir, it would be wise to keep her under observation for at least 24 hours."
I looked at Allana.
She was sitting down the bed, frowning.
"I would like that too, she did get shot."
"Just for 24 hours sir."
I nodded.
"Austin." I said
"Yes, sir?"
"We're staying here for 24 hours."
"Sir?" Austin said
"For Allana's health and safety."
"Of course, sir."
"I would also call her OB/GYN to see how she's doing, sir." Dr. Edmund said
"Yes, please. Thank you."
I'm standing a few meters away from my wife and I could feel her aura, her raging aura radiating.
"Love?" I started
