Harry's Perspective

I woke up feeling cold.

like really cold.

Allana is not sleeping next to me.

the blanket is pushed downward.

that's why i'm feeling cold.

like, dead cold.

So, I sat up and looked for my robe.

Where is Allana?

She's not in the lavatory.

Not in her couch.

Where is she?

I went out the room and tried to look for her..

Conveniently, Austin walked past by me.

" Hey, Aus. " I said

" Sir, what are you doing up this late? " he said

" Have you seen Allana? " I asked

" Why? Is she missing again? "

" Well, I wouldn't look for her if she was with me, would I?"

He sighed.

" No, sir. Should I alert the whole-"

" No! No need. At this hour? We'll just look for her together, is that alright? Or do you have anything else to do? " I asked

He shook his head.

" Uh, no sir. I was just about to go have some rest, but it can wait. " he said

" Are you sure? "

" Yes, sir. "

" Well, I would just like fifteen minutes of your time. "

" You sure, sir? "

" Very sure. In fact, so sure, I wouldn't need you now. Uh, so, have some rest Austin. I' ll just look for Allana, maybe she's just out getting some air. " I said

Austin stiffened.

" You-"

" Good night, Austin. You are dismissed, for tonight. " I said

He bowed and left.

Now I am alone, standing in the corridor.

I realised that I haven't tried calling Allana.

So, I called.

" Harry? " she said

" Hey, where are you? " I said

" Why? Are you looking for me? "

" Yes. "

" Don't bother! I hope you didn't bother Austin, he needs rest, I mean, he just finished an eight hour training. "

" Training? "

" He had that when you and I fell asleep. "

" Oh, what is it for?"

" Before I answer that, maybe we should just talk face to face. "

" Good idea, where are you? "

" Have you checked the veranda? "

" Which one? "

" In our room. Wait, are you standing in the corridor? "

" Maybe. "

" Get in the room. "

And I did.

Allana was standing in the veranda.

" There you are. " I said

" Why are you always looking for me? "

" Because you've got a bad habit of being lost. "

" What? Har, I'm not lost. "

" Well, you always disappear when you are deep in your thoughts. "

" I do? "

" Yeah, it's your habit. "

" Well, I know you'll always be there to look for me."

I hugged her.

" So, what was Austin's training about? "

" Additional security measures for us. "

" For us? "

" I meant when the baby comes. "

" Oh. "

" Yeah. He's training someone to, I don't really know, Austin didn't really explain it to me."

" Huh. Okay. "

" So, what are you doing up at this time of the night?"

I frowned.

" What are you doing up at this time of the night? "

" Thinking. " she said

" Thinking? "

" Yeah. More like, unwinding. "

" Is there anything wrong? " I said

She shook her head.

" Why would you think that? " She said

" Nothing, it's just that it's becoming a habit of yours, you know, to wake up and think. "

" Having extra weight is not comfortable. My internal organs are literally pushed upward, and my lungs are too. So, breathing is not exactly comfortable. "

" Oh, so, what are you thinking? "

" I don't know really, I just woke up with a lot in mind. Like it's been bursting out stuff. "

" Okay, let's pretend that it's not weird at all. "

" It's not. Sometimes, I don't sleep at all. "

" What? "

" But not lately. Not in the past four years. "

" What? you just experienced peace of mind in the last four years? "

" Yeah. "

I yawned.

" Hon, I'm getting a little bit sleepy. Can we sleep now? "

" You mean go back to sleep? "

" Yes, please? "

" Okay. "

We went back in our room, closed the veranda door, and slept.
