We were definitely news the next day.
Every tabloid, every website, everything contained us.
Our little moment of joy in the burger shop yesterday.
And we just let the come.
Nothing can spoil our perfect time.
" Hey. " Harry said as he entered the room, with what I suspect is ice cream.
" Hi. " I said as I sat up.
" What's up? " he said as he handed me a spoon.
" Well, we are news. " I said
" It's not that surprising. I mean, we were shouting yesterday. "
" Yeah, it did feel great too. " I said as I ate ice cream.
" So, what are we going to do today? " he said
" As usual, I have no idea. "
" Well, I have to be ready for work. " he said
" Oh, right! Do you have a lot for today? "
" Not that much, but I'd be home by dinner. "
" Okay, just be safe. "
" I will." He said as he stood up and went for to shower.
What am I going to do today?
There was a sudden knock on the door.
It was Sofina.
" Hi! " I said
" Good morning! "She said
" What are you doing here? "
" Why are you not ready yet? "
" Why? Is there something in line for today? "
She stood there wide eyed.
" Yes! The opening of the new school building in Wycombe! "
" What? "
" You forgot. "
" Yes. "
" Go get a quick shower, and I'll deal with wardrobe. "
I lifted my arms.
" Help me up! " I said
She sighed.
And she did.
" What's going on? " Harry asked
" I forgot about something. "
" What is it? "
" I have to open a school building in Wycombe. "
" And you forgot? "
" Yes. "
He smiled.
" Because I forgot too. We were supposed to open it together. "
" Okay, seriously? "
" Go take a shower! "
" Wait, do you have a speech prepped? " Sofina asked
Harry and I looked at each other.
" I'm taking that as a no. " she said
" Well, what do you expect! We forgot! " I said
" Great, someone has to make a speech. " Sofina said
" Not me. I'm pregnant. " I said
Harry looked at me.
" What? You're the doctor! " he said
" That's not even close to opening a school. "
Sofina groaned.
" School building, actually. " Sofina said

And I lost.
" Ha! " Harry said
" Great! Sofina, you take care of it. " I said

" Clearly you are not letting me make your speech. " she said

" Well, why don't you do impromptu? " Harry said
" Impromtu? Seriously? " I said
" Well, you told me that you were always the best speaker in your school before. " he said

" So, not that I didn't believe you back before, but I think it's time to use that honed skill. " he said

" He's right. " Sofina said
