Harry's Perspective
It's check out day today.
Allana was instructed to clean and replace the bandage every day.
She's been fixing up all of our things.
I told her to sit down and let Austin pack.
But she couldn't help herself.
She's packing.
But Austin's helping.
I just realized that Allana did not have any pregnancy symptoms. Not that I know of.
Allana was packing up her stuff when she suddenly frowned.
" What is it? " I said
She stood up.
" Don't follow me. " she said as she went to the bathroom.
And then there it is, the symptoms.
After 5 minutes, she came out.
" You okay? " I asked
" Yeah, yeah. It's just that, my breakfast is gone. "
" Yeah, I heard. "
" I think I have to eat more. "
" We will when we get back home. "
" I want ice cream. "
" We'll get ice cream later. "
" Okay. "
" Austin's already done packing. " she said
" Could we go now? "
" Why? "
" Now I want ice cream. "
" Let's go. "
Austin left with the bags, he has to put them in the car.
" Am I right? We have to hide from the public that I'm pregnant. "
" Yes. We have to tell our family first. "
" Okay. "
" I'm excited. "
" For what? "
" For the next nine months actually. "
" Seriously. "
" I am. I mean, we're gonna get a little me or a little you. "
" Okay, save something for tonight. "
" What? "
" I mean, we're gonna talk about our hopes and dreams with our kid. "
" Really? "
" Yeah. "
" Okay. "
Allana helped me stand up.
" I don't know how to help. "
" Just stand there next to me. "
" Harry, if we're going to cancel the tour, we have to at least show that I care. "
" You do. You do, right? "
" Of course, I do. "
" How do you help a person with a broken arm and a sprained leg? "
" I have no idea. "
" Maybe you should just walk with me. "
" Okay, I will. "
I had a choice to be in a wheelchair. But, I didn't choose it. Because I don't like the feeling of being helpless.
And, Allana had a long debate with the nurse who was handing us a wheelchair a while ago.
And, luckily, she won.
We passed down the nurses station, thank them.
And my doctor visited me a while ago, I thanked him.
And now, Allana and I are in the elevator.
" Austin says there are a lot of photographers outside. " Allana said
" They're inescapable. "
" I know. "
" Oh! That's why you were asking me how you could help me! "
" No. It's not about that. "
" Okay, just look concerned. Like, a lot concerned."
" I am concerned. "
" I know. "
Then ding. We're at the ground floor.
" Austin's near the entrance, but he'll give us five minutes to smile and whatever at the cameras. " Allana said as she read her phone.
" Could you tell him to make it three? Three minutes. "
" Okay. "
" I mean, I don't think I could stand too long. "
" And we couldn't afford to stretch out anything. I mean, we could afford, but um, I know you hate hospitals."
" I never learned to love them, especially when you're getting rushed in to them. "
" Oh, which reminds me, I don't need to continue my arrythmia medicines. "
" Oh, because you're-"
" Yes. "
I smiled at her.
" Okay, are we ready to go out? " she asked
" Yes. "
" Let me just notify Austin. "
Then she typed a message to Austin, probably sent it because she kept it in her pocket.
" Now are we ready? " she asked
" I am. Are you? "
" Yes. "
We stood in front of the doorway.
" Careful, darling. "
" I love you. "
" I love you too. Don't make a fool out of yourself okay? "
" I won't. "
" We can do this. You can do this. "
I nodded.
" I can do this. " I said
The guards opened the doors for us, and boy, there are a lot of photographers on the block.
And I just broke my arm.
What more, if Allana gives birth in 9 months time!
Allana went down the stairs first.
Lights and flashes and whatever came.
Allana and I smiled.
For the cameras.
The truth is I am in pain.
I held Allana's hand
Allana and I didn't answer any questions, first, because there isn't any time, Austin came, and second, we don't have anything to say, I just broke my arm,
Allana and Austin helped me in first, as soon as I sat down, Allana walked around the car, and entered.
As soon as Allana got in, we drove away.
" Does anything hurt? " she asked me as she held my hand.
I shook my head.
" We'll just get ice cream when we get back home."
" You really think ice cream can fix this? "
" Ice cream fixes a lot of problems. "
" Really? "
" It helped me come back home, years ago. "
" Oh. "
" It helped me with you. "
" What? "
" I don't know if I said this many times before, but you're pretty much high maintenance. "
" What? "
" But, I love you so much. "
" I love you too."
