Life's a movie,
Let it play.
Live the scenes,
Everyday.
Paint a picture,
Happy and bright,
But watch your eyes,
They show no light.
Paint more pictures,
Mix them up,
They're beautiful,
Don't give it up.
I paint pictures,
Listen, dear.
What you see's not what you hear.
I paint pictures with my words,
Think of tiny, sky-blue birds,
Dying as they fly up towards the sun.
Think of yellow flowers,
Trampled by children's fun.
Now clear your mind and listen close,
To the words of a ghost.
Because I may be alive,
But honestly, dear,
It takes more than a pulse to live here.
