The words don't matter,
The laughs don't count,
The insults mean nothing.
Everyone thinks this is what you live by,
But they don't see you in your room when you cry.
You smile,
Laugh,
Joke,
But I see through it.
You're trying to make it through the day,
Trying not to let them ruin it.
I wish I had the courage you have to stand your ground,
Never giving up.
You've been through too much,
Just keep on going.
Gonna go through more,
Just quicken the pace.
You'll find the one,
Treck on through life.
Just, baby, please,
Stay alive tonight.
