Mistaken

Impurity

Everybody cheats today and everybody lies.
But this is what happens when we're ruled by impurity.
If you'll take a few seconds to look into their eyes,
You'll see every single one of their insecurities.
You'll see the childhood they may have had,
And the dreams they could never achieve.
You'll see they might've been missing their dad,
And their stories could be written under sleeves.
Maybe their parents were drunk or on drugs,
And maybe they shared their negativity.
Their kids could've turned into thugs,
While they're dealing with the theory of relativity.
Because school can be extremely stressful,
And I'm able tell you this firsthand.
Few people that are like this become successful,
And a lot of them might join bands.
Some turn into criminals and they spend some time in jail,
While their parents sit there high as kites.
Some of them are trying to get someone to post bail,
While they have nightmares every night.
But some of them might not make it to eighteen,
And they'll hurt all the people that think they're fun.
Some of them have to use scar cream,
While they wear long sleeves in the sun.
