Today I did a mindfulness meditation. I let my mind wander until it stuck on a sight, sound or feeling. I noticed soreness in my shoulder and legs. I noticed the hum of the ceiling fan and birds chirping outside. I heard someone laugh. I felt sleepy and drifted off for a second and observed that feeling. I observed a song playing in my head. At first it felt easy to be mindful. Then as my mind started to become more aware, it became harder to focus on any one thing. Sometimes nothing caught my attention at all and I went searching for a sight or sound that stood out. It was definitely a nice change of pace.
