Everyone goes through difficult times in life that can make meditation a challenge. You may be angry or depressed and all you want to do is lay in bed and sulk. I went through a little of that yesterday and I meditated anyway and I did feel slightly better afterward. If your thoughts are too distracting and upsetting, try listening to a guided meditation for anxiety. It will help you relax and clear your mind for a little while. The momentum may be enough to completely lift your spirits or set you on the right path to cheering up.
