My first steady month of meditation was a challenge to myself to see if I could do it. After the challenge was over I struggled with keeping up my practice. Some good ways to keep your practice fresh is to keep challenging yourself. Try to meditate longer or try a different method. If you let your practice get boring, you will want to give it up.
