House unity

Nineteen

Draco woke early the next morning and stole a glance at Harry. Harry was sprawled out on the small cot. He made the cot look tiny as he lay there with one arm hanging down and one foot sticking off the end of the cot. Harry's glasses were askew on his face from the unexpected slumber that over took him. Draco smiled to himself taking in the sight that was his mate sleeping.

Draco couldn't help but wonder when Harry fell asleep. Draco didn't want anyone waking him if he hadn't gotten much sleep. The both of them need their sleep. If they didn't get enough sleep they would be completely on edge all day. No one wanted that to happen. Harry actually looked relaxed when he slept. one thing Draco never noticed before.  

Harry's hand twitched and his eyes flew open. He was struggling to get his breath. Draco who knew it was only a nightmare started to panic. 

"What happened? Are you okay? Is there anything I can do?" Draco asked 

Harry caught his breath and answered "It's alright. I'm fine. Just a nightmare. Nothing to worry about." 

 Harry started to feel guilty for making Draco worry so much. 

"Oh. Oh good. I just thought maybe it was something to do with the werewolf." Draco breathed out blushing a save of pink

"No. Nothing like that. Just a little dream. I didn't mean to worry you like that." Harry told him

"Its okay. You would've done the same." Draco shrugged it off and sat up slowly. 

"Let me prop up your pillows." Harry said swinging his legs off the cot. 

"You don't need to." Draco told him.

"I want to. I can tel that you're still in pain." Harry dismissed Draco objection and got up.

 Draco sighed and let Harry prop up his pillows behind his back. 

"Okay that should put less strain on your back." Harry mumbled. 

Draco leaned back against the fluffy pillows. 

"Thank you." 

"No need to thank me. Just making sure you're as comfortable as possible." Harry told Draco before stretching his arms over his head 

"Do you have nightmares often?" Draco asked softly

"As often as anyone I guess." Harry shrugged "Do you?" 

"I um I do. Because of the way I grew up I guess. I've learned not to feed into them though." 

"You know you can tell me about them anytime. I'm not gonna say anything to anyone." Harry said watching Draco's cheeks turn pink.
