Sixty-Seven

As Harry took his seat Draco looked over his shoulder and shot him a worried glance. Harry smiled trying to give him a little confidence.

"He'll be okay." Remus whispered from Harry's left

Harry nodded as Draco turned around. Harry took a deep breath as Fudge addressed the court.
"As everyone knows we are here to reopen the case of Lucius Malfoy's dark  arts activities. We have new reports of him threatening ministry officials, hogwarts students and even his own wife with the unforgivable curses. I'd like to start with asking his soon to be ex wife Narcissa if she can recall any recent incidents."

"Yes sir I can. When the news came to Lucius and I That Harry Potter was Draco's mate Lucius became rather violent. I  tried to calm him down but he held his wand to my throat." Narcissa stated  calmly

"Did you fear for your life?" A woman named Madam Bones asked

"I did."

"What happened just after this?" Fudge asked

Lucius flooed to The headmasters office. I followed fearing he may hurt Draco."

"Lucius what have you to say of this?"

"My son is an upstanding pureblood. Do you know what a homosexual relationship would do to my family name?"

"Would you have harmed your son?"

"If necessary."

Harry took a deep breath.

"Was anyone there to witness his actions at Hogwarts?" Fudge looked

"Yes Sir. Albus Dumbledore was keeping up with him as I came through the floo."

"Albus?" Fudge turned to Dumbledore sitting on the jury.

Dumbledore stood up. "A rather angry Lucius exited my flop demanding to see his and I quote 'no good traitorous son'.  I followed him as he started to run towards the hospital wing. Narcissa was close behind me. Remus Lupin And professor Snape stopped Lucius at the door. Narcissa was in a right state. I believe with a whole heart that this woman knows her husband well enough to know that she had good reason to think he would harm his own child."

"Thank you Albus." Fudge said turning to Draco."Draco do you believe your father would have done you or Harry Potter harm?"

"I believe if given the chance he would've done the both of us harm sir." Draco said

"Has your father ever used dark magic in front of you?" Madam bones asked

"Yes. It's not widely known that Mother gave birth a second time. A daughter. 6 year ago. If you check with st. Mugos you'll find the records of prenatal care. Father wanted a son. Mother wanted a daughter. The way he saw it if he couldn't have another son she couldn't have a daughter. I watched him kill my sister using the killing curse when I was nearly 11 years old." Draco sighed

"You killed a baby?" Madam bones asked disgusted

"What happens in my home is my business not the ministry's"

"Answer the question Lucius." Fudge sighed

"Why would I kill the child?" Lucius asked

"Because you have a horrible temper and are filled with hatred." Draco mumbled smirking

Narcissa nudged him with her elbow.

"Why would the boy lie?"

"Because hes my child." Lucius smirked and regretted his words

"We have enough to discuss. We will call this case back in for review at 3 o clock this afternoon." Fudge said dismissing them.

Harry felt numb as they walked back to diagon alley.
