Harry watched as Draco moved to lay back down.
"Your back hurting?" Harry asked standing up to help him
"Yeah. I just need to lay flat for a bit." Draco nodded
"Okay" Harry nodded and sat in the chair next to the bed
"You won't be mad if I fall asleep right?" Draco asked
"Not at all. Why would I be? Your body is in distress. Sleep seems to be helping the pain." Harry said
"What do you think is going to happen when we have to go back to class?" Draco asked
"We'll probably be shut up some place during the full moon. Our houses are probably going to give us a hard time though."
"I think my house would. I mean Gryffindor is pretty accepting of all things." The blond bit his lip thinking about it.
"We'll get through it. We have at least a few people who will support us." Harry took Draco's hand in his own
"I'm glad you're seeing the bright side. You're a lot braver than I thought"
"Isn't bravery just a kinder word for stupid?" Harry chuckled
"Please tell me I never said that" Draco groaned
"You never did. Blaise did once or twice." Harry reassured him
"Thank Merlin!" Draco huffed
"Don't start worry about what people are gonna say. They always talk. And if anyone gives you a hard time I think I can handle whoever it is."
"Oh no you don't. I'm not being the girl." Draco protested
"I never said you were. Neither of us needs to be." Harry said shaking his head with a smile on his face
"I'm not used to being the person who gets protected. Usually I'm the one protecting someone else."
"To make sure what's happened to you didn't happen to them?" Harry asked
"How did you know?"
"That's what I do. I don't want anyone to go through what I've gone through." Harry told him
"You are brilliant at it." Draco said
"Draco I know that you've watched that man hurt your mother. You felt like you couldn't help her when you were little. Now you'll do anything to protect her. Lay down your life for her if you had to. I know that man hurt you in ways I don't even wanna think about. Draco you don't have to hide yourself from me. I will never hurt you." Harry looked into Draco's eyes as he spoke hiding nothing
