When they returned to Sirius' family home it
was nearly 4 in the afternoon.
Sirius bought the boys new dress robes and Hermione a new dress for the trial. Draco got two books, a new pair of quidditch gloves, a new owl,a bag full of sweets, and two bags full of Weasley's joke products.

"Sirius you gave them a good day." Narcissa told her cousin as she watched the kids sitting around laughing.

"I hoped to distract you and Draco from the trial." Sirius sighed

"Even though we ran into Lucius I think the both of us got it off our minds."

Draco sat his bags down and let his barn  owl out of the cage.

"Okay. You guys really saw acromantalla?" Draco looked at Harry and Ron

"Yeah. Second year. I nearly was paralyzed with fear." Ron nodded

"It was after right before Ginny was taken by the monster." Harry said

"I've gotta say you've done some pretty unreal things. I can't even imagine what that would be like."

"Most terrifying thing that's ever happened to me." Ron sighed

"It was pretty terrifying." Harry nodded in agreement

"Okay I want everyone in bed early for tomorrow. You're all going to need your rest." Sirius said over everyone

Draco swallowed hard remembering the trial began the next morning.

"Don't worry Draco. We're all going to be there. We just won't be able to sit together." Hermione Dad and I will have to sit in the row behind everyone else. He ask a favor so we could all be there for you." Ron told him

The thought of Arthur Weasley being so kind as to come to the trial for him made him happy.

"That makes me feel a lot better."  Draco said

"Don't freak yourself out thinking about it. Everything will turn out right. With what he's done he will be put away." Harry told him putting a hand on his shoulder

"Harry's right. There's no way he's getting out of this one. Sirius and Dad won't let him. Not this time." Ron vowed

"I know you're right. But that doesn't make me any less nervous. The things he did. I don't know how I'll be treated after some of those things come to light."

"You won't be treated any differently here. You've proven yourself well enough to us." Ron told him

"I'm glad."

"Other students will just have to realize you aren't your father." Harry said

"You're not like he is. Not really." Hermione sat down next to Ron. "Besides you've been being a model student at school. Stopping a bully, protecting younger students. If they can't see that you've done that after they find out what you're father has done then they need to step back and look at themselves."

"Thank you. I know this is going to be hard. Not just on me. Mother has been under his control for years. This isn't going to be way for her at all."

"That's why Dumbledore pulled some strings and brought us here. To help show your mother she's doing the right thing. Reminding her why she's doing it. To protect her son." Harry said

"I'm glad we don't have to do this alone. I don't think I could do it if it was just us." Draco sighed

"I know you're worried about your mother Draco.  She knows her rights. She's well in them." Hermione told him.

"There's one story I think you three should hear before tomorrow." Draco let out a breath

"What's that?" Harry asked moving closer to Draco

"What happened to my baby sister." Draco whispered

"You had a sister?" Ron asked quietly

Draco nodded "yes. I was 10 when it happened. See Father wanted another son. So one night he sent me to the Notts and well you can imagine what happened next"

The trio moved closer to Draco as he paused to regain his composure.

"About nine months later Mother gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. Father wasn't happy. He wanted a son. Mother wanted a daughter. So after a few months while Mother nursed Lydia Father grew angry. On my 11th birthday he had enough. If he couldn't have another son Mother couldn't have a daughter. He used the killing curse. Right in front of me. He killed the only person I loved like I loved my mother." Draco felt a tear slip down his cheek as he spoke.

Hermione was near tears herself. Harry and Ron were angry.

"I can't imagine losing my sister. Especially one of my parents being the reason I lost her." Ron sighed

"I knew you'd be able to understand a little." Draco told him
