Chapter 50

Sophia

I shoved my bag in the corner of the closet, I didn't want to touch any of Ashleys stuff. I stepped out of the closet and looked around, it felt odd, like I was in someone else's home uninvited. I shook the feeling away, and stepped across the hall. I opened the door to as Jared looking at some papers with a serious face. "I need you to sign these" he pointed to papers at the front of his desk with out even looking up at me

I closed the door behind me and stepped inside picking up the small stack of papers, "what are these?" I asked

He sighed, "its just some documentation saying that you'll tand the Luna position. Ashley didn't have to sign anything because she already had the rights to the Luna position, while you were chosen and agreed upon it" he explained to me in an irritated voice

"Oh, ok" I said picking up a pen and signing on the line at the bottom, "is that all?"I asked "do you want any help, I might be able to help?"

He looked over at me, "no, I'm the new alpha, I will take care of everything business related, all you need to do is make sure the pack supports me and Disney rebel against me" he said "just do your job and ill do mine" he set the papers back down and sandwiched it all in a file, then shoved it in one of the drawers while slideing mine in too

I looked at him, "ok, just let me know I guess" I said while walking out

I stepoed over to the bedroom and opened the door, as I was about to shut the door I saw Jared walk out and walk down the hall. Where could he be going? I asked myself stepping out once he exited the hall. I slowly crept down the hall and down the stairs. I saw him walk down the main entrance stairs, once I heard him at the bottom I peaked over the wall to see him going behind one of the stairs. He looked around to see if anyone was watching when he pushed in a small board and slid a door opened. I watched him once more look around before walking down the stairs, could that be where Ashley is? I questioned, I should go back, look for myself tomorrow. I walked myself back up the steps and climbed into bed. I set one if my pillows on the floor next to me for coco and drifted off to sleep...

Ashley

Jared sat up straight, and llqughed at me, "oh, your wondering why your still alive?" He said leaning forward in my face

I looked daggers into his eyes, he stood back up straight and put his hands behind him, "well, if you must know, your here to be my play thing. My toy, mearly a p-e-t" he spelled out, "its quite ironic" he started walking around the basement, "all you wanted was a simple dog, but then you were dragged into this $hit hole of a life. No matter, I will take care of you" he said holding a hand over his cold heart and tried to give it in a since at voice

"And what's your plan then? Why did you all this time pretending to be the nice guy? What changed?" I asked him

He sighed out, "oh, nothing changed. This has been my plan forever, and I did all of this because Roman was weak!" He yelled getting worked up, "Roman wasn't fit to lead!" He took a deep breath to calm himself

"And why is that? What makes you fit to lead?"

"Well, Roman has you for one- oh wait, had you, guess he wasn't trying enough to keep you, there number two. As for myself, I no longer have a mate, thus, no weakness, no chain and ball to hold be back. But don't worry" he stepped closer and tilted my head up with his pointer finger too look into his ice cold eyes " your dear friend Sophia is my luna" he said with a wicked smile

My eyes went wide, "s-she would never go with a scumbag like you!" I yelled

He laughed again letting go of my chin, "go with, she's the one who came to me" he held up his arms like he was innocent, " she came to me and offered me assistance. She said she could persuade the people into liking me, and all she wanted was the Luna position!" He said even louder

I looked down at my knees, she wouldnt. Shes Ben my best friend forever, there's no way she would ever turn. Not my best friend, "your lying!"I yelled up at him, "your lying!" I screamed while hot tears fell down my face

"Oh, don't worry. She did ask for you to be safe, and I gave her my word... But to bad my word didn't mean $hit to me" he said kicking me in the ribs, "I hope Roman feels this, that would make this all the better" he liked me again,

I hunched over barely on my hands and knees, and looked up at him "where is Roman?" I said flatly

Jared crouched down, " in a deep dark cell slowly dying" he whisperd in my ear before standing back up and walking up the stairs, "you be good now" he called down

I then could hear the front door being shut and locked, im trapped with that phycopath and Roman is dying while my best friend is betraying me...

This is the next morning...

Jasper

Running from rogues was not fun because they make little groups which they try and corner you. But none the less, I escaped them like all of the others I was faced with. Im trying to stay close to my brothers lands as much as possible in case I need to rescue Sophia at any time. As the rogues passed and gave up, I started walking over to the west side of the pack territory when I started to smell a faint scent of blood. Now blood is a very common smell when not in a territory because there are no rules no stopping you from killing who ever you want. But this blood smelled of Ashley, I followed the scent to a cabin a bout a half a mile away from pack lands. I peared pehind a tree and saw a cabin, there was a pad lock on the door while also masking spray. I walked into the front porch and looked through the window, the scent was almost gone completely from the masking spray. I looked at the lock, so the only way to get in is by breaking in...
