Chapter 53

Ashley

I looked over and saw a bunch of wolves around us, they were from our pack though I could feel it, I held my hand out, "ii- its ok, he saved me"I said my voice cracking

Jasper looked down at me, I nodded and he set me down. My hand over my chest, and one hand still holding onto Jasoer to keep my steady, "Jared kidnapped me and trapped me in a cabin, Jasper here broke in and saved me" I explained

I could see there expressions change, "Jared has been trying to take over the pack, he has trapped Roman somewhere on the land. He kept us apart, what ever he told you he was lying!" I said louder

They sat and lowers there heads, I looked over at Jasper, his eyes were glazed over for a moment, "they told me that Jared said you and Roman had run away together" he told me

I looked at him like he was crazy, "what, what would we do that?" I looked back over to the wolves, "we need to get back before Jared finds out I'm gone and save Roman" I told them

Jasper let go of me, "you go with them while I deal with Jared, I have a score to settle" he said walking off, "one of you can take my clothes, im shifting to get there faster" he said taking off his shirt

I turned away, I then heard bones cracking. I heard a gruff voice after a moment and turned around and saw a tall man wearing Jaspers clothes. He had stubble and black hair that reached his eyes, he also looked like he could be 10 years older than me. "Hey, Luna my name is Steve" he told me, "um, do you want me to, uh, carry you back like Jasper?" He asked

I felt the blood rush to my face, "oh, uh, no, its fine, I just need some help walking, Jared banged me up pretty good" I said rubbing my chest lightly

He nodded and walked over to me, I leaned my arm around him and he did the same, helping me balance as we walked back to the pack...

Jasper

I needed to get there faster, but everybody kept stopping me. I just ran past them to the pack house, when I stepped inside I could smell Sophia instantly. But I had to shake my urge to run to her, I quickly hopped my way up the stairs and followed his scent. I looked down the hall and saw him standing there with something in his hand, "I guess you've found your way back  are you here to kill the new alpha?"

I grawled and sprinted at him my wolf jumped up and pushed him. The window behind him crashed open and we fell out...

Sophia

I started to walk back up the stairs when I noticed the sun was already riseing, but when I got back to the room Jared wasn't there. My heart dropped, did he see me leave? Did he see me go to the basement? Why am I shakeing? I questioned myself. I looked around the room and with a sigh of relief he wasn't there, I suddenly heard a loud crashing noise, I ran over to the window and threw it open. Leaning half my body out I could see Jaspers wolf on top of Jared flying out of the window. Jasper shifted mid air back to human punching Jared square in the face. They both landed on the ground hard, Jasper looked up at me and I looked down at him. "Find my brother!" He yelled before getting up and jumping Jared again

I leaned back into the room, why did he ask me to get his brother. He betrayed him, banished him. Did he forgive him? I sprinted as fast as I could downstairs, I then slid the secret door open not bothing with the candle abra. I made it to the bottom my feet stomping at each step. I stood in front of Romans door, still debating weather or not to let him out. It felt like two people ripping my arms in both directions, I looked to my left and picked up a brick and brought it down hard on the lock with a loud crack. I kept doing it over and over again, tears rising down my  face, blood starting to drip from my fingers, until the lock finaly broke. I swung the door open and fell to my knees holding my bleeding hand. I felt Roman walk over to me, he knelt down and brought me in a big hug. "You say family is the most imprtant thing, but I think you are mistaking your friends for family. There baseically the same thing though" he told me letting go and both of us standing up, "now lets go save our family"

We ran up the stairs, each step bringing us faster and faster. The dark fading into light as we reached the top. Roman looked around, "where's Jared?" He asked clenching his teeth

"Uh, I think there in the back, I saw your bother attack him out of the second story window" I told him

We started running to the back, Roman threw the doors open, and my heart stopped at what I saw...

Steve and I were walking back to the pack house when from far away we heard a loud crash. Steve quickly picked me up and started running, we came up to the back of the house. I looked up and saw one of the second story windows shatterd open. But when I looked down, I froze. Stiff completely...
