Chapter 9

Aria ~

We reach his floor but he stops in front of another door. He knocks and an older woman appears behind the door.

"Hello, Miss Aria wants to meet the Alpha, "he tells her

"I am afraid that you can't see him right now "the woman looks at me and says

"But there's something that I need to tell him, "I tell her

"I am sorry. You can talk to him later " She says. I turn around and luckily I remember where his office is. I run and reach the door. I see Stuart running to my side while I knock his door. Before Stuart catches my hand, the door opens.

"What's going on here ?" Xavier asks us

"I am sorry Alpha! She wanted to meet you but your assistant told us that she can't see you now so she came here alone. I know you're busy-" Stuart starts but Xavier cuts him off

"Aria what's wrong ?" he asks me

"I need to tell you something. Something very important "my eyes begging him

"Okay, guard you can go do something else. I'll walk her back to her room" the Alpha says and opens the door further for me so I can get inside. He closes the door and looks at me.

"Let's sit down, shall we ?" He says and I nod. We both sit down and he waits for me to speak. His arms crossed in front of his chest.

"I am sorry for interrupting whatever you've been doing, but there's something very important that I need to tell you, " I say

"Tell me then " he nods and he looks a bit worried

"Well I sneaked out once again after lunch and I saw something, "I say and he tilts his head a bit.

"I know you've told me not to, but I am so glad that I did" I continue

"Just tell me what you saw Aria " he sounds curious

"Okay so I was in the garden and I heard voices so I hid behind a bush and there were 2 people there. A girl and a man. I know that the girl was Macy and I don't know who the man was "I explain him

"So we have another troublemaker in here  "he laughs and I ignore his comment.

"I know you're not going to believe me, but trust me I am not lying. I would never lie to you. Especially for something like this" I say

"Aria just tell me " be begs me

"They're planning to kill you," I say and he opens his mouth to say something but no words come out.

"That man gave Macy 2 weeks to kill you. I heard all their conversation Xavier "I tell him

"Aria, do you realise what you just said ?" He asks me and walks next to me

"Yes! I do understand. I was as shocked as you are "I say

"Aria this is very serious. You know that, right ?" He sits down next to me

"I wish I hadn't seen that " I look down at my feet. He puts his hand on mine

"Please tell me that you're not lying, "he says and I just give him a look.

"I would never lie " I repeat

"What else did they say ?" He asks me

"They will meet at the same place in 2 days after lunch, " I tell him

"We will be waiting for them, " he says

"You believe me, right ?" I ask him

"I hate to admit it, but I do believe you" he admits and I laugh

"Did you see the guy ?" He asks me

"No, but I know that he walked the opposite way of the mansion " he nods

"Thanks for telling me Aria. However, I've told you a million times not to walk outside on your own. What if he saw you and hurt you? " he says

"He didn't see me and he didn't hurt me," I say and he just rolls his eyes

"Next time that you want to go outside come here and we'll go together " he suggests

"But you're busy and also your assistant doesn't like visitors " I lift my eyebrow

"I will let her know and I can also take a break " he winks

"Xavier !"I say after a few minutes of silence

"Look at you calling me by my first name " he laughs

"Excuse me, but I think I earned this, " I say and he giggles

"What are you going to do with Macy ?" I ask him

"She will have to pay for this " his voice sounds angry

"Please, don't hurt hurt " I beg him

"Aria she wants me dead "

"They made her do that, " I say

"But she accepted Aria " his voice louder

"Okay, no need to shout at me, " I say and he sighs deeply

"What are you doing to me " he whispers and I smile

"I should leave now, " I say

"Let me walk you back, " he says and stands up. So do I

"I can walk on my own, "I say and he closes his eyes for a second and then laughs

"Aria please stay away from Macy and don't tell anyone, " he tells me

"Yeah sure, " I say as we walk outside

We walk down the stairs until we reach my floor. We stop in front of my door and I am glad that Stuart isn't here.

"Your guard will be back in a minute "he lets me know

"I don't need him " I groan

"You do. Now I know that nobody is going to hurt you Aria " he says and I bite my lip, trying to hide that smile

"Will see you at dinner? "he says

"I can't wait " I roll my eyes and he laughs

"Remember what I told you, right ?" He whispers

"Yes" I whisper back and he walks away

"Xavier, "I say and he turns around

"Be careful! " I say

"Always am " he winks and disappears in the hallway
