Crimson Pack

Chapter 23

Aria~

"I've missed you so much "my mum says as we walk inside. Xavier is behind us. My mum wasn't expecting him here. Actually she didn't expect any of us. However I feel like something is wrong with her.  She's open and welcome to everyone, but now she looks very distant. I'll  ask her later when I get a chance.

"Me too " I smile at her as we sit down.

"What a wonderful house you have " Xavier says.

He can not be serious now. His 'house' is ten times bigger than ours. I bet that he didn't have anything else to say.

"We'll thank you. It's not perfect, but it is perfect for us " my mum says when I don't reply.

"I can leave you too alone if you want" his eyes moving from my mum's face to mine. "We can leave whenever you want " he tells me

"Thanks. I will tell you if I need anything " I say and he nods exiting the house.

"How are you doing sweetie ?" She asks me

"I'm okay. A lot of things have happened, but I'm trying to move on " I tell her

"Do you want go talk about it ?" My mum asks me

"That's why I came here " I tell her

"Oh okay! So what is it ?" She asks me

"Why didn't you tell me that I had a brother? " She looks so shocked

"How- how did you find out ?" She shutters

"It doesn't matter. Why did you hide it from me ?" I ask her

"Aria this happened a very long time ago. Don't dig the past " she tells me

"No, I need an explanation " I push her to tell me

"You deserve to know I guess. Okay, I'll tell you the truth " she finally agrees

"You weren't born when this happened.  Your brother, Jacob was our first child. He was 17 when he left.  He had a really horrible fight with your father. He got really mad. At first we thought that he would come back. We gave him some space. The werewolves around the borders told us that he left the Pack. That's when we freaked out. We were patiently waiting for him to come back. This never happened though. Days passed as they do. Life went on. They same year you  were born. You brought happiness back to our house. Your dad was devastated, but you changed that. You changed our lives" she confesses. I can see the tears in her eyes.

"Why did they fight ?" I ask her

"He loved a girl. A girl from a different Pack. I don't know how they met. He wanted to go and bring her   here but this never happened. Your dad used to tell him that he had to wait, because one day he would find his mate. Jacob was trying to change his mind. He used to tell him that she's the one that he loves and nothing could change that. Things got worse. And one day he left us without even saying goodby. I haven't seen him since then " tears are now rolling down her face. I don't really know how I feel about this.

"I saw him mum " I tell her

"What ? Is he okay ? It's been 17 years. He is 34 years old now " she puts her hand above her heart as if this is going to reduce the pain.

"He's dead " words come out as a whisper. I look at my shoes and I can hear her gasp.

"Dead ? Oh my God! What happened? Do you know ?" Question, so many questions

"He wanted to kill Alpha Xavier " I was literally going to call him Xavier. I'm glad that I didn't. " He killed one of my best friend. I know that he was in Ivory Pack. I never really got to speak to him. I just saw his dead body " I tell her
