Chapter 20

Aria ~

I either cry or turn into a psychopath when I am mad. But right now I am somewhere in between. I am just so upset right now that I just don't know what to do with myself, so I just want to cry. That's what I do. I can't hold it back anymore.

"Aria " a voice calls my name from the hallway. It's Stuart

"Are you alright? " he continues when I don't reply, I am trying to hold my sobs back.

"Come on in " I say, my voice so low, but it's loud enough for him to listen.

The door cracks open and he opens the door slowly.  He looks at me and smiles. It's a sympathetic smile actually.

"Now I know that I should never make you mad" he jokes and I laugh. I do admire the fact that he makes me smile even when I am like this.

"You heard us ?" I ask as he walks closer

"I think that the while mansion heard you " he tells me and I sigh, closing my eyes

"Okay, probably only this floor " he tries to make it sound better.

"Are you okay ?" He asks me

"I will be "I give him a  faint smile.

"Do you want to talk about it ?" He asks me

"There's not much to discuss "  I tell him

"You live in denial " he says

"I don't need a round 2 Stuart " I tell him

"Okay, okay sorry " he apologies

"You heard everything so there's nothing that I should explain " I tell him

"Actually there is something. How are you after all ?" He asks me

" Angry and sad and frustrated " I start

"I can see that  " he laughs

"You can leave now " I roll my eyes

"I'm trying to help " he says

"And you're doing an amazing job so far " I tell him and he laughs again

"Do you want to go outside ? " he asks me

"No, I want to stay here " I say

"As you wish " he shrugs

"Oh and Aria you'll have to go eat dinner soon will. Mara told me that you haven't eaten all day " he lifts his eyebrow

"I am not hungry " I tell him and look out of my window.

"Don't make me shove the fork down your throat" he warns me

"I am scared now " I try to hold my laughter

"I am serious " he says

"I know " I giggle

"I promise I'll eat " I say

"I'll be watching you" he says. There's another knock on my door. Please don't be Xavier.

"I'll get that " he walks towards the door

" Thanks sugar " I say

"Don't call me that " he scolds me

"Why ? It ruins your reputation, huh ?" I ask him

"At least the annoying part of you is back " he says and I laugh

"It will always be here " I wink at him as he opens the door.

I am so relieved to see Mara. The last few days I've been avoiding her and she has done nothing to me.
