Chapter 38

Aria~

When he leaves the room, I try to find something interesting to do. I open drawers, wardrobes, I look at some books but I don't feel like reading any.

The door opens and I flinche, turning around and looking at the door.

"I am sorry Aria. I didn't want to scare you " a woman says

"Who is this ?" I ask her

"What do you mean ?" She blinks a few times and comes closer to me.

"Don't come near me " my voice cracks.

"Aria stop acting like this. This is ridiculous. Why are you in here ?" the woman says

"I said stop " I shout

"Could you calm down ?" She tells me

"No, please leave me alone. I can't help you. Please leave." I lift my hands up

"Aria darling " she grabs my wrists and that's when I yell. The door slams open, people that I have never seen before walk inside with guns in their hands. I fall down and cover my head with my trembling hands.

" Mum " Another voice says

"Why is everyone in here ?" The same voice says.

"Xavier she freaked out. She started yelling. What is wrong with this girl ?And why is she in your room ? I knew she had some issues but I didn't know that her situation was this bad " the woman says.

"Mum that's enough. She hit her head yesterday and she can't remember any of us. You could have told me that you were coming. And she is in here because I have to keep an eye on her. " I guess this voice belongs to Xavier.

"Oh my God " the woman gasps. I look up and all the guards are still there pointing their guns at me. I squirm again and cover my body once again, shutting my eyes closed "

"All of you can leave now. I will handle this " Xavier says

"Xav-"

"Just go mum. I will talk to you later "

I listen to the door closing but I don't move an inch.

"Aria " Xavier says

"Aria " he says once again and this time he touches the top of my head.

"It's okay now. You can open your eyes" he says and I reluctantly uncover my body and open my eyes.

"They were not going to hurt you " he says

"There were so many of them " I whisper

"I know. It was just a false alarm. " he says

"Who was that woman ?" I ask him

"This was my mother " he tells me

"I don't know anyone. I can't remember anything. I am so scared Xavier " I tell him and I crawl back until my back hits the wall.

"I would be scared. Everyone would be scared. Everything will be back to normal. Don't worry about it" I tell her

" I want to go back home, back to my mother " I say

"You have to stay here " he tells me as he stands up.

"No I don't have to. I want to go to my house and stay there until I get better and start remembering things " I tell him

"Aria you are staying here " he insists.

"No! This is my life, not yours. I can go wherever I want to " I tell him
