Chapter 18

Xavier~

She fell asleep when she was upset. I don't know if this is a good or a bad thing, but her face looked so peaceful, that I didn't want to wake her up.

I fell asleep next to her. My arm drapes loosely around her waist. I woke up about 15 minutes ago. I don't dare to move though. I am afraid that even a slight movement will wake her up, so I stay where I am. My gaze goes from the back of her head to the window next to us. It's still early. The sun has not fully appeared. The rocky mountains are hiding it.

Her breathing quickens and I realise that she's waking up. There are two things that I can do. I can either stand up now or I can stay like that. However I do know that If she notices that I am awake and I've been staring at her the whole time, she'll believe that I am a creep or something.

I remove my hand from her small body and roll over.

"What time is it ?" Her voice raspy

" Seven thirty " I tell her and she groans

" Do in have to eat breakfast with the other girls ?" She asks me

" Well, they're going to eat all together, but you can stay in your room if you'd like " I tell her

"I have so many questions " she sighs and turns around to look at me.

"I am not sure that I have all the answers, but I'll gladly answer them all " I tell her

"But not now " I add

"What ?" She asks me

"I have promised to spend some time with the other girls today Aria. I don't really want to, because I already know who I am going to choose. My parents are forcing me though. I can't tell them that I don't want go " I explain her

"So technically they're deciding for you " she laughs

"Technically " I laugh

"I wish I could talk to my mother. She would never lie to me" she says and looks away

" I am sorry Aria " I tell her

"Anyway I'm leaving now. Just let me know when you're back " she says and stands up

" I'll tell your maid to bring your breakfast in your room " I tell her but she doesn't say anything about it.

"I'll see you later "she says with even looking back and leaves the room.

Okay, I do know that there's something wrong with her. I mean, she just found out that she has a brother, had a brother. That sounds better. Plus she sees his dead body. I guess it was too much for her to comprehend. I'll have to tell her some things later. Her mum is the one to tell her about the whole story. This is not my story to tell. Also I don't know a lot of things about him.

Aria~

I feel so empty, so lost, like I'm dreaming.

Am I still absent, like if I am dreaming?

Am I ?

It's like everything is a blur around me. I can't see any details, only the outskirts. Then I have this voice in the back of my head, telling me that this is reality. And I need to face it.

I walk in my room. Mars is waiting for me inside.

"Hey Aria. I haven't seen you in a long time " Mara smiles

" I know "I reply without showing any emotions.

"Are you alright? " She asks me

" I just need some time alone " I tell her

"Oh yeah sure. Your breakfast is over there. Just call me of you need me " she smiles sympathetically and leaves me.

I need to talk to my mum. I know that Xavier promised to tell me about my brother but I am sure that he doesn't know as many things as my mum does. I can't see her though. She lives far away.

There's a knock on my door and I slowly stand up and open it.

"Good morning Aria " Allison smiles and hugs me

"Why didn't you join us today? " She asks me

"I wasn't feeling really well " I half lie

" Did you get a cold or something? " She asks me

"I don't know. I just need some sleep " I tell her and she nods

"It's not your lucky day then. Xavier is going on a date with all of us. But now that you're sick you'll miss it " she tells me

"It's okay Al. I'll get another chance " I tell her and she smiles once again.

"Take some rest "she says while closing the door.

How can she always be so cheerful? It's killing me...Really

Kinsley was more cheerful though. I miss her. God I miss her so much. I know that if she was here she would make me smile. That's where I want to go.

I open my door and I am very surprised when I see the man standing next to my door frame.

"Stuart ?" I blink a few times just to make sure that I am not dreaming.

"Hello Aria " he laughs when he sees my shocked expression.

"Where have you been ?" I ask him

"Been busy around the mansion " he tells me

"Did you miss me ?" He asks me

"Not at all " I shake my head and he laughs

"Where are you heading to ?" He asks

"Just down the hallway " I say and walk towards Kinsley's room.

I take a deep breath before opening her door. This will bring so many memories, bad memories back. But this is the only place that makes me feel that I am closer to her.

I reluctantly touch the door handle and open the door. Everything is neat and clean again. All her stuff have been taken away. This room was full of her spirit and her laughter.

Kinsley's heart was too big for this world. She was almost too perfect for our damaged world that she lived in. I do hope, she's found peace in a better place.

I sit down on her bed. I know I haven't spend a lot of time in here, but this is the place that she left her last breath. She is the one that would help me and she would tell me what to do. Let alone the fact that she would do everything that is against the rules.

I look down and notice something under the bed. This is a photo of her and her little brother. I saw him in the funeral the other day. The have some similar characteristics, like their eyes. I turn it around and notice a note. I don't know if she's written it though.

I shiver at the words that I read.

How are you guys ?
I'm doing quite well. I still have a problem with my Internet so this makes my writing a whole lot difficult but you should be thankful that I uploaded lol Plus it's sooo hot here and I'm struggling with the heat :/ please send me some cool vibes lol

● My BED! it's 00:27 am here lol
But if it wasn't that late I would love to be in Hyde Park, reading a good book and sipping some hot chocolate (hope it isn't as hot as it is here lol)
