"So, did you ever figure out why his aura is locked?" The nurse asked Dr. Marquez, who just shrugged. Not the most useful person in the world.

"No. I poured a whole pitcher of water on him twice. His aura absorbed it, but it didn't restore itself. It won't charge for some reason." She looked Daniel up and down twice thinking to herself. Daniel wondered if the doctor even knew that his aura was locked, and she figured it out.

"It's decided then." Both men looked at her curiously as she had her chin in her hand thinking still, "Aura Transfusion." She announced and Marquez' eyes went wide with horror. Daniel just laid there blankly without a clue of what they were talking about.

"Out of the question." He exclaimed and she looked at him with a challenging look on her face. She sat on the bed ignoring him focusing her attention back onto Daniel.

"I don't care. I have enough green aura still to convert to blue and if I must dip into my white aura as well then so be it. We're unlocking his aura either way so get over it." She rolled her eyes and the doctor looked at her in defeat. Even Daniel knew there wasn't a way to talk her out of this.

"Fine. But you'll need his permission to do it though." She sighed, annoyed with him as much as Daniel was.

"Do I have your permission." She managed to say. Daniel nodded in cooperation. If he felt better, he didn't really care, "I'll need you to stay here and observe just in case." She admitted honestly and Marquez mumbled something under his breath. She ignored it and turned back around to Daniel.

"I wasn't planning on leaving anyway." She groaned when she stopped because he kept talking.

"Are you done, or can I get started?" She scolded. He threw his hands up in defeat, "Okay. So, go ahead and lean back to relax. Close your eyes and focus on your breathing. Whatever thoughts come to mind, let them flow. Do not try to block them." She instructed calmly and sweetly. Her foreign accent was soothing which helped him relax and trust her, even though his military training wanted to not let him.

He felt at peace for the first time in a long time, he wasn't used to it. He did as he was told and focused on his breathing. Even when he felt two cold hands touch his bare chest, he cringed slightly, he remained at his new steady pace. Soon enough the cold vanished as it matched his own body, then a tinge of heat. He heard her whispering something as spearmint flooded his nostrils, he sighed with relief at the cooling sensation it brought him. Soon after the smell blended with blueberries creating an interesting aroma.

His body temperature began to rise again at a rapid rate despite the cool feeling. There was a slight pressure in a small part of his brain that made it hard to focus. Suddenly, a rush of mixed thoughts and memories started to slowly go through his closed eyes like a movie. They began to rush past reminding him of everything he had been through. He wanted desperately to breath hard, but he told her he'd keep the pace. He sure hoped that she was almost done though.

His heartbeat began to race when he couldn't keep the beat anymore. There was a cool pop in the back of his head. Then everything cooled down and stopped. He could slowly see himself feel more energized and getting better quickly. He opened his eyes trying to get his breathing back to normal. He watched the nurse remove her hands from his chest and she too was breathing hard. There was some sweat on her forehead, but it looked like it froze, and her skin absorbed it. Daniel didn't ask questions.

"Did you unlock his aura?" Dr. Marquez was rubbing his eyes profusely.

"Yes, what's wrong with your eyes?" She frowned while looking at him like he was crazy. She watched him with a puzzling gaze waiting for an answer. Daniel noticed a white haze that wrapped around her waist and down to her feet, but there wasn't anything above her hips. Only a light green glow began to form on her chest and grow outward.

"When you unlocked his aura, there was a bright flash. Brighter than what should have been in this tiny room." He sniffled as he finished rubbing his eyes. She shook her head and then rummaged through the white cabinet that was still standing in the corner.

"Alright. So, put these on. Then meet me at the front desk in the clinic. There are red exit signs that'll help you, or you can ask one of the main nurses." She placed the stack of clothes on the foot of the bed before ushering the doctor out of the room. Both bickered in harsh whispers before the door closed.

Daniel got up slowly with the covers wrapped around his waist so he could lock the door. With it locked, he dropped the towel and looked at the short stack of clothing. It was basic from the looks of it. A cobalt blue shirt, black jeans, and black shoes. There was also a pair of black boxer briefs and black socks. Nothing special, but he still appreciated it.

He walked up the sink and turned the water on. He made a small globe of it wash over his body underneath the clothes. He felt light again, and his skin felt clear and smooth. He could get used to this feeling. Now all he had to do was figure out where to begin.
