"Why are we still walking around? It's been hours." Isabel complained as they passed by a corner diner. The delicious smelling food wafted from the door when it opened to allow hungry guests in. Even though they already ate at a restaurant, the scent was enough to make Daniel's stomach growl.

"Because your surprise isn't ready." She frowned in frustration and then glared at him.

Isabel was beginning to be annoyed, "What's the surprise?" She demanded finally, but no one answered her. A group of people walked by them; all eyes were on Daniel before they got too far away. It made Isabel slightly uncomfortable.

"Do you think everyone knows about everything?" Isabel asked as they continued to walk, but she sat down on a bench in front of a small bakery.

"The whole world knows since Arthur went public with the information." Santiago informed them as he looked at something in his hand.

"What's that?" Daniel asked as Alise handed him a blue, flat, object with a glass screen.

"It's a phone. When we need to get into contact with you, we can use that instead of hunting each other down all the time." She stated as Daniel readjusted to the Atlantic City atmosphere after being in the southern fantasy style.

"Daniel?" Isabel asked in a soft voice that got him to sit down next to her, "Can we talk?" She asked, Alise and Santiago both left and walked a few yards down the street. She looked distressed as he looked in her eyes.

"What's going on?" He asked her, his brain began listing things that he could have done wrong. A flurry of worry danced in his head.

"I've just been thinking a lot about everything while we were walking and eating. I know that I'm not the woman you want or deserve, but..." She was cut off by a face he made. She stopped talking as he looked visibly upset by what she had just told him.

"You really shouldn't think like that. I've already told you that you're the one that I want. You may not be pure elemental powerful, but Fiona herself said that for a fairy you're feisty. We have a child on the way, but I'm not going to make you raise him by yourself. A so what there's a prophecy, we felt this way for each other before we learned about the prophecy. None of this change what I feel for you. I can see that you're scared. You can get through this because it's not just you, it's us and it's going to stay like that." He stood her up so that she could hug him. She shoved her shoulder into his head as she cried. He held onto her tight so that he could absorb all her fear and comfort her as much as possible.

She pulled away and sniffled, "I'm sorry. I don't what's going on with me right now." Daniel wiped away a tear from her and kissed her salty cheek.

"It's the hormones sweetheart." Alise replied as she hugged her too and Santiago walked up to the group.

"We're all here for you. I'm the uncle, and I won't let anything happen to my nephew." Isabel pulled the necklace from her pocket and handed Daniel the apple shaped amulet.

"What is this?" He asked holding it up so that he could see it better.

"It's a distress beacon that Bestienna made. You hold the apple under your tongue and then it let's me, Justice, Kat, and Bestienna know where you are." She helped Daniel put it on and the apple fell into the muscular dip in the middle of his chest. Alise hollered happily on the phone, scaring everyone around them. Bystanders included.

"What's gotten into you?" Santiago frowned at her as she hung the phone up.

"The surprise is ready." Alise giggled, clapping happily. Daniel morphed into his miniature dragon form. People pulled out their phones to take pictures of the spectacle. After Isabel got on, he took off with a small shrill that reverberated off the windows above them.

He flew to a small forested area away from the city, near the cliff that they sat on. Isabel was confused when he landed on a dirt path that led to the cliff, "I don't remember this being here." She stated as they walked down the road.

Daniel watched her get even more confused during the ten minutes that they walked. When they walked around a tree, she gasped at the two-story cabin that rested to the side of the clearing. To the left of it, a small gazebo on the cliff with two chairs inside.

"How?" She asked and Daniel shrugged.

"Since you're going to be under a lot of stress, I figured you'd need a quiet place to relax. A little something the fairies and merfolk whipped up." He handed her a set of keys, and she rushed to the door with her wings.

By the time Daniel got to the door, she was already walking up the stairs to a loft where the bedrooms were. He turned around to close and lock the door. He yawned and walked up the stairs lazily. She left the bedroom door open as Isabel was already passed out in the large luxurious bed. He slid under the covers next to her and listened to the crashing waves and wind through the open windows.
