"No, I want to stay here with you." Isabel rose to her feet and walked up to him. She took his hands into hers and looked up into his eyes. He felt the emotion welling up inside of him.

"Can we have a moment alone everyone?" Daniel asked solemnly. Everyone quietly shuffled out of the room and outside onto the porch and lawn as the two stood there in the living room. Before Isabel could throw a fit, Daniel pulled her into a tight hug. She cried instantly in his shoulder as his chest felt tight.

"I'm scared." She managed between sniffles as she kept on crying.

"I am too, I'm scared of losing you and our child. It's my responsibility as your boyfriend and a father to take care of you and our baby. It'll only be a couple of days at most." His kissed her forehead and kept her in his arms, "I can't bear the thought of you getting taken away from me." He wanted to say more, but he was hesitant.

"Daniel? What do you want to say?" She read him like a book. He had no choice. He hoped for the best.

"I know that this isn't the best time to say this, but I love you. I know that it's been barely a week, but it's felt like a month. Unless you count when I was asleep as part of it..." He searched her face for a reaction, but she had a firm look on her face like she was sure of something.

"Daniel." He braced himself for the inevitable, "I know where this is going." There was a long pause. He felt like he should have bottled everything up and waited like he had planned on it.

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have been so direct I just thought that..." Isabel kissed him sweetly to stop him from rambling. Her cheeks were wet, and she pulled away.

"I remember when you were laying on the ground defenseless in front of the Tonali sisters. I tried desperately to keep your eyes open. I'm embarrassed to admit this. But I stayed in that clinic room for the while two weeks waiting for you to wake up. There was something about you that appeared so intimidating, but kind. Attractive, but humble." She laughed cutely as her cheeks went red for a moment, "I had this idea in my head of how you were." She said bashfully.

"Hopefully I met your expectations." Daniel watched her grin lightly.

"Your way better than I could have ever imagined. I was jealous when you saw Santiago first when you woke up. I had a whole plan for your awakening. Now, I'm about to give you my heart because I love you too. I can't remember the last time I did something so reckless." They both laughed and then they touched their foreheads together.

"Please go to Pyrocan so that you can be safe." She sighed in annoyance.

"I'll go. Please be careful." He pulled her close as if he were saying goodbye. At least he got some of the weight off his chest.

"Isabel, we should get going." Kristen said lightly. Daniel didn't want to let her go and neither did she. Because no one knew how tonight was going to play out. Tomorrow isn't promised for anyone staying in the city tonight.

"I love you." Isabel said as she took Kat's hand to go outside.

"I love you too." Daniel replied as he watched her leave the house.

"Everything will be fine." Justice stated as the brothers hugged. Daniel was surprised that his brother was as emotional as him. Normally Daniel was the overly emotional one, besides David.

"You're doing the right thing." Bestienna watched him walk out of the house to watch sapphire dragon-like creatures carry Isabel off.

"I know that Jake sent them here to snuff her out and find her. He probably asked Fiona what I would do to someone I cared for. The old me would have held on to them, but that would have led to both of us dying. We all must change to survive this war. He may not like what he's going to get, but he should have stayed home." Clouds replaced the sunny weather of the early morning. If they were to last all night, then they as much held as they could get. A clap of thunder rolled over the coastline. The three of them walked back into the house to come up with any last-minute plans before the arrival.
