Completely lost amongst the people and tent, Daniel walked in circles until he caught a whiff of spearmint. Drawn to it, he followed the scent until he stopped at an intersection where he could see where they had set up the tent earlier. Getting closer the scent, it got stronger and stronger until it disappeared completely when he opened the moss that completely covered the opening.
"You scared the heck out of me!" Isabel exclaimed after gasping. She took a deep breath and let it out calming her nerves.
"Are you ok?" Daniel asked her as she slowed her breathing and the spearmint scent came back lightly like a tinge.
"Are you asking about before or after scaring me?" She asked and he chuckled a little bit.
"Both I would suppose." He said as she gave him a very stern look.
"I'm fine now... But before not so much." She said and then Daniel walked over to her and sat beside her.
"Was it what Jovan said?" He asked as she studied him.
"A little bit... But also the whole Fiona situation. What was that all about if you don't mind me asking?" She said and this time Daniel breathed heavily before wrapping his arms around his legs and looked out of the tent.
After explaining everything including the argument before the attack, Isabel looked at him sympathetically "I'm so sorry you had to go through that. No one should go through that." Isabel said and then Daniel sighed.
"Yeah well, life happens. Oh well, no matter. I'm here now. with you." Daniel said and then Isabel looked away.
"Yeah here. A pure elemental with a pathetic ice fairy apparently." Isabel curling her lips in frustration trying not to get emotional.
"Hey look here," Daniel said sweetly and calmly using his hand to move her chin to look at him slowly. Looking into her coffee bean brown eyes he said, "No matter what Jovan said it doesn't matter. I don't know what it is about you, but I can't stay away from you. Alise came back without you I was concerned. I feel cliché for saying this, but you're my hero. Despite what Santiago said you decided to help me. Ignore what other think I need, I want to be with you." Daniel started as Isabel's eyes starting to tear up a little bit. Daniel pulled away and continued to talk, "I know I've only known you for a little over a day, but I can't help but feel like I have deeper feelings for you. Now it just feels weird being without you." Daniel said looking away and then this time Isabel took his gaze.
"Look Daniel. You may know me for a day... But for that time you weren't waking up, I felt something that I thought I wouldn't feel for anyone else. Every time I would go into the room to care for you I would grow more attached to you. When I saw that you were awake I was so happy, but I had to try and hide my excitement from you so I wouldn't scare you. Looking into your eyes, I was able to see everything I felt through my aura. I think there's a connection that neither one of us can explain." Isabel said looking into his cobalt blue eyes again.
Just before they went in for a kiss, Alise accidentally walked in and then quickly walked out awkwardly. After she left, they both laughed quietly and then Daniel wiped a tear from her cheek. Looking at each other again for a few moments and then leaned in again for a kiss. Without interruption, their lips touched and then Daniel sweetly placed a hand on her cheek and she wrapped her arms around his neck. After pulling away they both looked at each other and then blushed and chuckled quietly.
"Well since that's out in the open. Would you like to be my girlfriend or do I need permission from your brother?" Daniel asked sarcastically and they both laughed.
"If you would have done that yesterday night I probably would have hit you." She admitted.
"Well, it's a good thing I said it today then." Daniel said before she kissed him sweetly again, "Was that a yes then?" Daniel asked and then she nodded bashfully.
