This was my first time writing one-shots. I was also 13 at the time so It's very cringey and not good at all. There are a lot of spelling mistakes!!

I hurried as I grabbed everything out of the car and brought it into Evan's house. "Okay Evan, Craig, and Arlan you can't fuck this up. Please don't." I said as I handed them the fireworks and a few other materials.
"Y/N I'm Lui's best friend. Do you really think I would screw this up." Arlan asked as he took all of the things.
"Yeah Craig and I are one of Lui's good friends, We wouldn't screw it up either. I got your back." Evan said as he smiled brightly.
"Thank you guys so much! I'll be over here at 7:00 which is in 3 hours. That's enough time right?" I asked as I started walking out the door.
"Yes it is! We will see you then!" Craig yelled back at me.
I then hurried and got back into my car to drive home to Lui. When I finally got there and walked into the house Lui was sitting down on the couch. "Where were you?" He asked as he turned to look at me.
"I told you I had a doctors appointment today plus I had to go into work." I said as I sat down my keys.
"Oh right." He said as he turned around.
"You know what today is riiiiiight?" I asked excitingly.
"Yes it's my birt-" Lui said but I cut him off.
"The 4th of July! Omg I'm so happy some of the guys are visiting and it's gonna be so fun." I said smiling brightly as I looked at Lui. He looked hurt from my words which made me want to comfort him. Yes I knew today was his birthday but I wanted to act like I didn't which was very hard. "Okay so we have to be at Evan's at 7:00 so I'm going to go take a nap then shower and get ready." I said as I kissed his cheek and walked away. But I then heard Lui say something.
"How could she forget my birthday." He whispered with hurt laced in his voice. I just shrugged it off and walked to my room to take a nap.
After about an hour I woke up from my nap, took a shower and got ready. "Lui?" I yelled as I walked out of my room.
"Yes honey?" He said as he was in the kitchen.
"Is this outfit okay? I want something comfortable but somewhat cute." I asked as I looked at him.

"You look gorgeous!" He said as he pecked my lips.
"So do you. Well I mean handsome." I said chuckling.
"I'm so glad you think I look gorgeous." He said putting his hand over his heart while I was laughing.
"Alrighty silly, you ready to go?" I asked as I grabbed my keys.
"Yep lets go." Lui said grabbing my hand as I locked the door.
After a few minutes of driving and finally arriving at Evans house we got out of the car and walked up to his house. Just as I was about to knock the door flew open. "About damn time you guys came!" Wildcat said greeting us.
"Shut up the traffic was bad." I said chuckling and walking in.
"Hey Lui! My man I haven't talked to you in forever." Wildcats voice said as it started to fade as I walked away to leave them be.
After a few hours of drinking, eating, talking, playing games, and messing around we all sat down outside to watch the fireworks. Evan then let off all of the fireworks. We all watched in amazement. Lui pulled me closer to him as we sat there not speaking and just watching. A big firework then shot out and I knew that was mine. When it exploded it said 'happy birthday, I love you' he then turned to me. "You didn't forget my birthday?" He asked as a smiled appeared on his face.
"Oh course I wouldn't have Lui." I said smiling just as much.
"I love you too" he said pulling me into a hug. Everyone then began to cheer.
"Oh stop it, it's nothing new we've been dating for a year now." I said as I started laughing.
"It's so fucking cute though! My little boy is growing up!" Arlan yelled causing us all to laugh.
