-Isn't this everything you've ever wanted?-
"Annie come look at this!" One of my coworker's boasts.
I groan and trudge my way over to the little group huddled around a magazine. "Look!" She points at a picture, my eyes roam over the magazine the lines read DEBUT and YG ENTERTAINMENT and then JAEWON (ONE).
I didn't understand much of anything else since it was in another language. "How did you get this?" I asked.
"Duh, I'm Korean." She pursed her lips together.
I turn away from the crowd that's gathering and pull my phone out my pocket to call him. He picks up on the third ring, "Annie."
"Where are you right now?" I asked.
He was talking with someone over the phone. "At the studio, why?"
"Can I see you after work?"
"Sure, I'll text you the address."

Jaewon was debuting, he was going to debut and he hadn't told me anything about it. I was beginning to feel anxious the more I thought about it.
Why wouldn't he tell me anything about it?
I quickened my pace to the address he texted me he'd be at. After what felt like forever I finally arrived at his recording studio. I was let in by one of the security and made my way to where the receptionist pointed me towards.
I paused before entering the room. "The contract is for about six years, you know that right?" I eavesdropped on a conversation between Jaewon and a guy in a business suit.
"Yes, I've said it already haven't I?"
"I just need to highlight some key points for you. You can't leave while the contract is active, you can't get into any sort of scandal, no drugs, no sex, no red light districts, no lovers, no gambling, no gang activity, no swindling, and no dating within the agency."
"Okay." Jaewon says.
"Look Jaewon I don't think you grasp the situation here, we know already. There's that girl you keep around you. She needs to be out of the picture."
"There's no one." One lies.
I heard the other guy scoff. "Annie, she's very beautiful but she's a liability, if the CEO found out about her he'd terminate your contract."
I could already imagine the look on Jaewon's face and as I stood on the other side of the door I could feel my heart break a little. "You know being backed by a huge company comes with a price, we've all had to sacrifice something here and there."
"But it's my dream." One whispers to himself.
"I think you should know by now that in a few weeks it won't be a dream anymore, it'll be real...as long as you stick by the terms of the contract."
I could feel my heart race. I started to think about all the things that have happened between us til this point. Jaewon came into my life without wanting anything in return, somehow through the mix of things we ended up being in love with each other. I mean shouldn't that be enough for me?
It's all been so wonderful, I've had more than enough days filled with love because of him. And I knew that I meant it when I told him that I'd be okay if he broke my heart....
but now. "Okay, I'll do it." He said.
I wasn't so sure of myself right now.
