I pause giving him a he's crazy fool look. "Why are you back?" I asked as he has this puzzled look on his face.
I can feel my cheeks flush with embarrassment as I recall last night's events. They were all messy and blurred out but the only vivid memory I had of that night was with him. It was strange how everything else about that night felt like a dream except just that one moment.
I still get goosebumps thinking about how close he'd been, no, how close he'd gotten. I remember his hot breath against my neck, his fingers tangled up in my hair as his tongue edged its way into my mouth, and how I had opened wide, pulling him deeper into me. I had lost all resolve in our first kiss and just allowed that feeling of his body against mine. Thinking about how much he wanted to kiss me and the desperation in his kiss made my cheeks flush.
Who else could say that they were able to kiss Zico?
"Are you still drunk?" I asked him.
He scoffs. "Do I look drunk?"
I gave a small nod. "Well, no I'm not." He moves closer towards the counter. He reaches for his back pocket pulls out a white envelope and slides it towards me. "This is for you." He clarifies.
I arch my brows at him as I grab the envelope. "What for?" A gasp leaves my lips as I stare at the ridiculous amount of cash in the envelope.
"Your troubles."
I glare at him. "My troubles?" I repeat the words he spoke.
"Just so you won't say anything." He mutters.
I felt something ignite in me and by the look on his face, he saw it too. "Are you crazy?" I snap at him; I could feel my cheeks turn a bright red.
"You could tell someone, and they could use it against me." He clarifies.
"Why?" I ask him, sliding the envelope back over the glass counter and towards him.
He sighed, running a hand through his face. "I was drunk, mianhae (sorry)."
I scoffed, "Look Zico, I'm not sure if this is your way of apologizing but this is crap. You kiss me drunk, no-" I paused, recalling the events. "You made out with me for a really long time, stopped kissing me, called me some other girls name, got pissed, and left."
His eyes widen at the news. "What was it?" I ask myself trying to recall the girl's name he called me. "Sunny? No, soul...Seolhyun!"
He shushed me as a customer walked in. "Ya!" He snaps.
I roll my eyes. "Don't worry I tell him." Shaking my head. "You and me both want to forget that kiss."
He eyed me quietly, trying to determine if I was telling the truth or not. I didn't gain anything from saying we kissed, I actually think it would hurt me. A bunch of sasaeng's would probably attack me if news broke out.
I shivered at the thought.
"I didn't mean to hurt your feelings..." His eyes wavered. "I was hurting and I didn't think straight." He paused, thinking to himself. "This is why she left..."
I sighed, seeing the pain written all over his face. I didn't think about why he was being like this or what he could have been going through. It wasn't like something bad had happened to me, I mean how many girls can say they kissed an idol/rapper?
"How about, we get chicken and beer?" I offer.
He perks up at the sound of that, it seemed to pull him from whatever dark place he had gone to. "Then we'll be good," I promise him.
His phone dings and he holds a hand up to keep me from speaking. I rolled my eyes and continued to work, as he starred at whatever or whoever had messaged me. "Fuck." Zico muttered.
His phone began to get alerts like crazy. "Shit." He was muttering to himself, nervously texting until he slammed the phone against the counter.
"Are you okay?" I asked.
He shook his head, "We need to leave, now." He urges.
I raise a brow in confusion. "My shift is not over." I was about to argue with him when I saw the notification on his phone.
Zico was caught kissing another girl, late at night.
"What?" I look at him in fear.
He sighs, "Come with me and we'll talk." He offers.
I could already imagine all the hate mail I was about to receive. "I don't think that's a good idea," I tell him.
"You can't stay." He pulls the keys out of his pocket. "Someone will find this place soon, the faster we leave the better." He walks over to the door, "Are you staying?" He asks me.
I look over at the customers in the store and debate whether or not staying here and getting mauled was better. I let out an angry sigh and reached for my hat before walking around the counter to where Zico was. "You also got me fired, great." I push the other door open and wait for him to follow me.
"We'll figure it out." He grumpily tells me.
"Where are we going?" I asked.
He smirks, "My house."
I felt my cheeks turn red.
Great, me and Zico...alone at his house, what more could go wrong?
