The second date Louis takes Harry on to prove himself starts with an ultrasound. Louis picks up Harry and they drive to the OBGYN. It's quiet, nothing except an old song from The Beatles playing. It's not an awkward silence, it's a peaceful silence where Louis wishes he wasn't driving so he could be admiring Harry instead. Just the fact that he wants Harry and Harry feels the same way has him so incredibly happy.

They're about ten minutes away when Louis can feel Harry reach over and cling onto his arm. He squeezes Louis' arm lightly before saying frantically, "Lou, pull over."

"What? H, what's the matter? We're almost there."

"No, Lou, something's wrong."

Louis frowns and pulls over to the parking lot of some coffee place. He's secretly kind of scared, but he stays calm for Harry, who looks like he's freaking out. "What is it?" Louis asks as Harry shifts in his seat.

"I-It feels weird," He mumbles. Louis raises his eyebrows.

"The baby?" Louis asks. Harry nods. "We're literally on the way to the doctor's. We could get you checked out there."

"I'm sorry!" Harry practically growls. "I was panicking!"

Louis twists his mouth. "What does it feel like?" He asks. Harry swallows thickly, biting his lip and looking at his little rounded out belly poking through his shirt. He really ballooned up while Louis wasn't seeing him, and Louis doesn't mind it one bit.

"Like popcorn popping," He decides after a few moments. Louis furrows his eyebrows before leaning over the console and setting his hand over Harry's belly gently. Harry frowns, and that's when Louis feels it. Tiny little feet at his palm. Louis lets out a small laugh, grinning like mad. Harry looks devastated. "I can't believe you're laughing, Louis, I literally just told you something is wrong with the baby, why are you laughi-"

"Haz, Haz," Louis soothes, watching as Harry glares at him with teary eyes. "You're fine, okay? You and baby are fine. They're kicking, H. That's what you feel."

"I-What?" Harry asks shakily. Louis smiles fondly and takes Harry's hands, bringing them down to his stomach so he can feel it on the outside.

"Here, love, feel right there," Louis says, watching as Harry's face softens. Even when Louis moves his hands from Harry's, Harry keeps his where the baby is kicking, looking very concentrated.

"And you can feel it too?" Harry asks, taking Louis' hand again and putting it on his stomach. Louis can't help but be endeared. He knew Harry was clueless when it came to this stuff, but he supposes Harry has literally never known someone close to him that has had a baby. He's talked about being the youngest in his family, out of all his cousins and second cousins, he was the littlest.

Louis nods. "Yeah, I can," He replies.

"He's really in there..."

"He?"

Harry's cheeks turn a rosy pink that Louis swears is much better than the pink powder he brushes onto his cheeks. "I-I just," Harry swallows thickly. "Have this strong feeling that it's a boy."

"A boy," Louis repeats with a goofy grin, hand still on Harry's stomach even though the baby had stopped kicking. Harry smiles at Louis tiredly before Louis sits up straight again and starts to drive again.

The drive is filled with adoring chatter after that.

"And would you boys like to know the gender?"

Louis nods. Harry is staring at the monitor that the baby is on, mesmerised. He's been looking at it since the doctor turned it on, barely hearing anything the doctor says. Louis, on the other hand, was trying to listen to what the doctor was telling them.. The doctor smiles at Harry's wide, curious eyes and glances back at the screen. "Congratulations, lads, you're having a baby boy!"

"Hey," Louis whispers with a wide grin, looking over to where Harry is still staring at the screen smiling. "A boy, H, you were right."

"Yeah," Harry nods and sniffles. "A boy."

They get their pictures and Harry wipes off his tummy before Louis helps him off the table. "You okay?" Louis asks with a small laugh as Harry wipes his eyes.

"He's so cute," Harry practically whimpers, looking down at the sonogram picture. Louis just smiles and leads Harry out of the doctor's office and to the car. Once they're seated, Harry turns to Louis sheepishly. "Hey Lou?"

"Wassit?" Louis asks with a warm smile, starting his pickup truck. Harry bites his lip.

"I know you said you were taking me to the movies," Harry starts off timidly. "But I really want to cuddle? I'm so tired."

"Okay," Louis nods. "My place?"

"Please?"

"Of course."

So they go to Louis' place. Harry is so sleepy by that time and Louis had no idea how tired pregnancy made him, but he helps Harry out of the car and into the house. Jay practically squeals when she sees Harry enter her house, attacking him in a hug.

"Oh, how are you, love?" She asks as Harry smiles, cheeks rosy and eyes sleepy. "You look amazing! You're glowing!"

"I'm fine," He giggles, rubbing his eyes with his fingers. "How're you? How're the babies?"

As if on cue, a baby's cry is hard from the lounge. Jay sighs and gives Harry a weary smile and shrug before walking into the lounge. Louis grabs Harry's hand and walks him to the stairs.

When they get into Louis' room Harry immediately lays down in his denim jacket and leggings. Louis just smiles fondly and lays down next to him, blushing when Harry entwines their fingers together.

"He's kicking again," Harry says, barely a whisper. He brings Louis' hand to his stomach, keeping their fingers locked. Louis smiles and bites his lip, because he missed this so much. This is what he's been waiting for, craving for so long.

"He's gonna do that a lot, babes," Louis giggles quietly, drunk on love and the feeling of Harry's skin against his own.

"Call me that more often," Harry says.

"I'll call you whatever you want," Louis replies so quietly he's wondering if Harry even hears him.

They do end up cuddling, Harry's face buried in Louis' neck and Harry's arm wrapped around Louis' torso. Louis' heart is more full than it has been in more than a year and a half.
