Chapter 15

Me and Thor had found Jane and Tora beside a sandstone balcony in the many public places of Asgard.  I was quite pleased to see Tora because I had been wondering where she had gone but apparently she had been with Jane the whole time since the clothes fitting. Tora smiled with a friendly look on her face as she saw me coming, I smiled back as I made my way towards her. She starting saying about a few of the places her and Jane had visited before coming here.

‘When you came for me you knew I was in trouble.’ Jane said to Thor as they stood side by side, blessed by the cloudless blue sky and incredible Asgardian architecture. I looked to my right and noticed how beautiful they looked as a couple, they completed each other perfectly. Jane was a woman who could listen to Thor for hours as he drabbled on and not get the least bit tired.

‘Well, Heimdall lost sight of you, you were no longer on Earth.’ Thor replied hesitantly. Me and Tora decided to make it look like we were having a conversation but secretly listen to Thor and Jane.

‘Well, how’s that possible?’ Jane questioned raising her voice, confused and worried about the aether inside of her.

Tora looked at me just as I looked at her and we exchanged confused looks. We listened to the conversation as it got more intense.

‘I believe you were in between worlds.’ He answered making the impossible, believable. He leant against the balcony. ‘The Nine Realms travel within Yggdrasil, orbiting Midgard in much a way your planet orbits the Sun.’ So far this was really hard to understand but I guess it was even harder for Thor to explain. He gently took Jane’s hand into his own as if he had devastating news.

‘Every five thousand years the worlds align perfectly, we call this the convergence.’

‘What?’ Tora said loudly.

‘Shhhhh!’ I remarked. Thankfully, Thor didn’t notice and continued.

Thor touched his palm to hers and aligned their hands, his actions mimicking his words.

‘During this time the boarders between worlds become blurred, it is possible you found one of these points.’ He explained, making Jane look as if she understood now. His words drew Jane closer to him their looks becoming more intense. ‘We are lucky that it has remained open.’ He said, both of them glancing at their interlinked hands. ‘Once the worlds pass out the alignment the connection is lost.’ He finished his story taking his hand away from hers.

And then they kissed.

‘Ewww.’ I said looking away.

‘Shhhhh, Loti, they look beautiful together.’ Tora said entranced by the beautiful kiss.

‘Seriously, get a grip.’ I said looking away.

I looked back at them. ‘I like the way you explain things.’ Jane murmured, for God sake , I hate lovey dovey stuff I thought. ‘What’s going to happen to me?’

‘Awww.’ Tora said quite loudly, this time I ignored her.

‘I’ll find a way to save you Jane.’ He finished, almost whispering. When will this end? I felt physically sick.

‘Your father said there was…’ Jane began.

‘My father doesn’t know everything.’ Thor said protectively.

I now like Frigga a lot, I am completely thankful that she ended the horrid love moment by saying-

‘Don’t let him hear you say that.’

Jane and Thor were a bit embarrassed and startled by her quick appearance. We turned towards her and curtsied towards Queen Frigga as a sign of respect. She bowed her head in our direction before looking at Jane.

‘Jane Foster, please meet Frigga, Queen of Asgard, my mother.’ Thor explained ending the awkward moment. Raising himself and pulling Jane from the support of the balcony. Jane took her hand from Thor’s without hesitation and smiled at Frigga.

‘Hi.’ Jane greeted, shyly. Frigga smiled and returned the welcome, gleefully.
