Annie pov: I immediately began training at gym again. Gaining skills back faster than I got them when I was healthy. I had moved back home with my parents and the dogs. I wasn't sick. My hair grew back. I got to live a normal life. I was thrilled. Months went by and I was the happiest I had been in a while. My life was turning around for the better. That's what I thought at least. My phone dinged and I got a text from brennan

B- date tonight? I miss you❤
A-of course I miss you toooo what do you want to do movies, park, dinner?😏😘
B- is movies at home ok? I don't feel 100%
A- of course B, u ok? ❤️
B- ya just a little run down I'm good tho👌🏻 I can't wait to see your beautiful face😍🔥😘

I started getting ready for my date. As much as I loved being healthy I missed getting to see brennan all the time. I got dressed in a cute casual outfit and drove to brennan's. We snuggled on the couch all night and watched the Harry Potter marathon. "I missed nights like this Bren" mhmh brennan responded "what's going on you've been standoffish all night" i just don't feel great Ans I'm sorry. "What do you mean don't feel good, like nauseous?" No I'm just hot, a little cough and kind of foggy. My stomach also itches really bad. But I'm sure it's nothing probably just the flu. Brennan answered "bren that scares me. I really don't like the sound of that. Maybe I should take you in..." Annie I'm fine I swear I just need some rest. "Ya ok I guess." Brennan fell asleep and I went into katie's room to talk to her. "Hey Kate" hey Annie what's up? "Not much. Brennan seems really sick though I'm worried about him" ans I know what happened to you was super scary but I'm sure brennan is fine, let's take it step by step ok? "Ya okay" I nodded. I went back out and laid next to brennan and fell asleep.
The next morning I woke up and brennan was hot to touch. I went and got a cold washcloth and put it on his face. I take his shirt off cause he sweat through it. When I lifted it off I noticed a giant rash on his stomach, he also looked kind of yellow. He started to move around. Morning ans he smiled at me. "Morning bren how you feeling?" Ok I guess he replied. "I'll be right back I have to make a quick phone call" brennan nodded and I walked out on to the porch. I quickly dialed a number

911- 911 what's your emergency
A- yes hi my boyfriend has a really high fever and a weird rash and he is kind of yellow
911- yellow?
A- yes his skin looks yellow. I'm scared
911- we are sending a team your way
A-thank you

I walked back inside and sat by brennan. He heard the ambulance sirens and looked at me. "I'm sorry Bren but you are really scaring me. It's better to be safe. " he nodded and closed his eyes. I opened the door and the paramedics came in with a stretcher. They loaded brennan on the stretcher and into the ambulance. Male 17 jaundice, rash , high fever, possible organ failure. We are 5 minutes out. The parametric talked quickly. "Your going to be okay brennan" I said holding his hand. He opened his eyes looked at me smiled and closed them again. A tear ran down my cheek. The ambulance stopped and the paramedics ran brennan inside. I tried following them but the nurses stopped me. I sat down defeated and tested my parents, Caleb, Hayley, katie and brennan's parents

I sat down with my head in hands and cried. I already lost so much. I can't lose brennan too. I felt hands on my back and I looked up. It was Caleb. Hey banana "hey bubba" Annie we need to know what is going on. You don't have to tell everyone but can you tell me. I'll tell them. Mhm I nodded " he had a really high fever, rash and he looked kind of.." kind of what ans "he was yellow...the paramedics said maybe organ failure but I'm not sure." Suddenly a nurse shouted out brennan's name mrs Jill katie and I all stood up. Would you like to see him she asked. We all nodded and heading back. We don't exactly know what is wrong...we are pushing fluids but he was having trouble breathing. We put him on a ventilator and we put him in a medically induced coma. It will hopefully help him fight whatever is going on. We are going to send him up to get an MRI and a CT soon. I suddenly ran out of the room. It was too much to handle. I ran straight out of the hospital. I heard footsteps following me. Ans? I look up and almost expect to see brennan but Caleb is there instead. What's going on, are you okay? He asked rubbing my back through my tears I managed to tell Caleb what's going on "he can't even breath on his own bubs, they put him into a coma. I can't handle all of this sickness anymore" I cried into his shoulder. Annie brennan was so strong for you, you have to be strong for him too. "I can't anymore Caleb. I'm done. I'm done being strong. I'm done with everything. " I stood up and walked away from Caleb.
