Peyton's POV
"Merely helped?" This person's way of skipping around questions was getting more annoying by the second.
"They had some complications with you in their way so I gladly accepted to help,"
"Why would you?"
"That you'll find out in due time. But for now you'll leave with the two gentlemen that will come in after I leave. If you make difficult for them to obtain you, they will make it a hundred times more difficult for you to ever get back with Sawyer,"
After they said their last words, they walked out of the room and immediately I heard two other sets of footsteps come in afterwards. The two men picked me up off the ground, turned on the light. During this time I could see where I was at. I'm in a stock room in Philly's diner. The only thing that gave it away was the light fixture that was the same as the others in the actual eating area of the restaurant. While I was taking in my surroundings, one man put me on his shoulder and the other took the chain off my ankle. They continued to walk out the back door of the restaurant. I was able to get a peak into the eating area but no one was there. This made me wonder how long I was here.
"Boss says she goes to Lot 52 and if we take her anywhere else that we'll get it," the one that has me on this shoulder said this to the walkie-talkie on his belt.
"If we take her there we have a greater chance of getting caught by the boy himself. We need to think smarter," the other protested.
"This isn't our worry. We take her there and we leave. This isn't our mess. If it messes their plan up, that's their problem, not ours,"
"Whatever, let's get her in the car and take her there so we can get our part of the deal over with,"
That was the last thing I heard before I felt a sharp pain in my thigh and all went black.
Sawyer's POV
I wondered on into the building that they have supposedly taken Peyton. Taking the directions they gave me, I walked into an empty room with nothing but a note.
I'm surprised you finally listened to the directions given to you.
I rumpled the paper in my hand and threw it across the room. She wasn't here. It's a trap. I punched my fists against the wall until my knuckles bled.
"Should've listened to me from the start, Son," the voice came from the door I entered from.
I turned around to see my biological Dad's smirking face. The same face he always had when he was having things his way.
"I did nothing wrong," I knew I had let spilled some, but this measure he has taken to hurt us is far too extreme.
"You discussed matters with your pretty little girlfriend," his eyes held a weird emotion in them. "How did someone like her end up with someone like you?"
We complete each other.
I kept that to myself and tried my best to maneuver around the latter of his statement.
"We both just simply stated we couldn't talk about what was happening between us with you,"
"Well I simply stated that you were not to speak one word of anything,"
"What are you planning to do to us? Where is she?"
"All of that will come in due time," he snickered. "I'm just gonna have some fun first,"
