I woke to people yelling. I finally recognized that it was Landon.
"She has to go! She wants to leave!"
"But she can't! She needs to stay here!" I distinguished my grandmother's voice now.
"Why? She doesn't want to stay here!" He was livid. I heard him come towards my door but he stopped.
"I'm not letting you go in there. You aren't taking her." She said in a matter-of-fact tone.
"Oh yes I am! Why won't you let her leave?" He roared.
"Because I called her father! He didn't know where she was and he was so worried and he's coming to get her!" She was talking fast. She kept going but I didn't hear it.
I had to get out of here! He was going to kill me! I grabbed my bag and jumped out of the bed. I stumbled, almost falling, but kept going.
I opened the door and ran. My grandmother was so startled that she didn't have time to stop me. I grabbed Landon's arm and pulled him out of the house.
"Lillian! Come back here! Your father is almost here!" She had recovered and was coming after us now.
"We have to go! Hurry!" We finally reached the truck. I jumped in and Landon started the car and Landon drove like crazy down the driveway. "Why would she do that?! Why would she call him?! He's going to find me! He's going to kill me!!" I couldn't think straight.
"No he won't. I won't let him touch you. He won't even get the pleasure of seeing you-"
"NO! You can't be here! If you try to help me he'll kill you to!" I was screaming. He had to leave!
"How do you get to your house?" He had calmed down suddenly, startling me.
"What? Why?"
"Your father is here! Your mother and sister are there. We can get them!"
"Oh my god! Go, go, go!! We have to hurry!" I was bouncing in my seat now. We could save them! We could get them out!
