The cold outside hit me hard. It was freezing! I wrapped my jacket tighter around me and started walking down the street. I could see the headlights pulling around the corner. It reflected off of the newly falling snow.

The car stopped about ten feet away from me. The door swung open and I saw Landon jump out. He ran towards me and scooped me up in his arms.

"Lillian! Oh my god, I have missed you so much!" He swung me around before finally putting me down on the ground.

"I have missed you too! I can't believe I can finally see you!" A smile was plastered on my face.

I was living with my mom's sister and I have got to see Landon. I had missed him like crazy, even though we talked practically all day on the phone.

He placed both hands on the side of my face and just stared at me. Then he slowly reached down and took my left hand and kissed my engagement ring. We hadn't set a date, or even talked about it really. But just thinking about him being my fiancé still sent shivers up my spine.

"I love you. So much that you'll never know." He said, looking at the ring still.

"Want to bet?" I said. He looked back up at me and smiled.

"Well let's see how many times I almost died for you."

I stood on my tippy-toes and kissed him. "Let's see how many times I have said thank-you. And let's not talk about that, please."

I hated thinking about how our relationship started. With my dad, the creep of all creeps, trying to kill me (among other stuff) which almost led to Landon being killed. 3 times.

I heard the back door of Landon's car open and a deep voice yell out.

"I drove all the way up here, I have listened to Landon's non-stop whining, I'm freezing my ass off, and I don't even get a hug?" Ben, Landon's brother called out.

"Ben!" I screamed and ran over to the car. We had gotten really close over the last few months and I had missed him like crazy while I had been gone. "It's so good to see you!"

I practically jumped in the car and knocked him over, but he didn't seem to even notice. He hugged me tight. "I have missed you so much!" He said.

I looked over and saw Dahlia sitting next to him with a hurt look on her face.

"I would think I would be more important than Ben! I mean I am still your maid of honor whenever the Hell you two get married, right?" She said.

I crawled over Ben and hugged her. "Of course! Who else would I have?" I squealed.

I sat in the middle of them. "I have missed you guys so much!"

"Not even close to how much we have missed you!" Dahlia said.

"Speak for yourself." Ben said. But he smiled and threw his arm around me.

"So when are you coming back with us? Landon is never going to shut-up when we leave here. All he says all day is 'Lillian this' and 'Lillian that'." Dahlia rolled her eyes and threw her hands up exasperatedly.

"Awh, shut-up Dahlia. But I have missed you more than anything." Landon said as he climbed in the front seat.

"Are you going to come back with us?" Ben asked.

"I don't know. I mean I want to, but Kris and mom. And we have no where to go." I always got sad whenever I talked about this. I knew I was meant to be wherever Landon was. And that farm had become my home. I couldn't just stay away from it. And I couldn't leave mom and Kris again.

"You can always stay with us." Dahlia said.

"That may be a problem since your mom like hates me and all." I said.

The car went silent. Ben looked out the window, Dahlia just stared straight ahead, and Landon was picking at the seat.

"What?" I asked.

"Uhm, our mom, kind of, you know. She, she just left. The day you met her, she didn't come back, exactly." Landon said.

"What?!" I screamed.

"It's fine though." Ben said. "She was drunk or whatever and got in a small car accident. No one got hurt, but the police put her in rehab for a couple months."

"So you're living by yourselves? That's crazy!" I yelled.

"No, we still have our dad. Speaking of which, he has a huge crush on your mom. And he wants to see her again. Which is more of a reason to come back with us. He wouldn't have a problem with it." Landon said.

"My mom won't agree to that." I said. She hadn't seen her family since my dad and her first got married, and she was thrilled to be able to see her sister.

"Why not?" Dahlia whined.

"She's just really happy to see her family." I replied.

"They can all come to." Ben said, smiling.

"This isn't full house!" I said.

Ben laughed and threw his arm around me again. "God, I really have missed you!" He said.

"Hey, why don't you move into your grandmother's barn? It's huge; there is definitely enough room for all you guys!" Dahlia shouted.

"We had discussed that, but my mom thought it was weird since she never met the lady and that was the place my grandmother died."

"Dahlia?" Ben and Landon called out at the same time.

"Already on it." She said as she opened the door and walked off.

"Where is she going?" I asked.

"She could talk anyone into doing anything. Master negotiator!" Landon said.

"So have you heard anything about your dad?" Ben asked.

"Yeah, we had to go to trial to give or statements, all that like a month ago. Sentenced for life for attempted murder and rape." I said.

"Are you doing okay?" Landon said as he reached around and touched my knee.

"Yeah, it's just weird you know? For a long time I always looked up to my dad, and then him and mom started fighting and everything just went to hell." Tears welled in my eyes but I pushed them back down, this was suppose to be a happy moment and I wasn't about to let my father ruin anything else.

We just sat there and talked for about 5 minutes before there was a tap on the window and Dahlia stepped inside.

"Well?" All three of asked at the same time.

"Don't doubt me! What do you thinking happened?" She said smiling.

I screamed and Ben and Dahlia hugged me. Landon sat with a stunned look on his face. And the reached in the backseat and hugged Dahlia tightly.

"Thank you! You are the best sister ever." He said sweetly.

"And the best friend and maid of honor!" I added.

Then Landon looked at me and kissed me on the forehead. 'I love you.' He mouthed.

I winked at him and continued celebrating.

"But one thing," Dahlia said, "your momma said that you should have fun since all you have done is sulked the entire time you were here." She gave a disapproving glare but continued. "So you are going to have fun now! They are going to be down in about a week with everything and you are coming with us now."

"Road trip!" Ben yelled.

Landon sat there smiling. He started the car and patted the passenger seat. I climbed over the backseat and plopped down next to Landon and he started driving.

Finally, I get to be with both of my families.
