13: Duo of Villians or Idiots?

Drayko, Jake, and Violet are entering route 2. As they go farther into the route, the number of the rich green trees of Densissima Forest diminishes. More grey, dead, leafless trees are appearing. Drayko and Jake look around, slightly disturbed.

"It's so creepy around here", Jake said, shivering. "It says here that we're in the Exanimum Woods. A lot of dark Pokémon lurk in the area", Drayko said while checking the map on his Pokédex. Meanwhile, Violet doesn't seem bothered at all. In fact, she seems like she's enjoying walking along the route.

"I love walking around here. So relaxing", Violet said, smiling blissfully. A flock of Murkrow fly over the trio's heads suddenly. "How on earth is this relaxing?! Who knows what Pokémon live in this area!", Drayko exclaimed.

Something is rustling in the bushes. 2 crimson eyes glare at the 3 and growls. "Wh-What's that?", Drayko asked nervously. Whatever the lurker was leaped out the bush and landed in front of the 3. The creature resembled a Tasmanian devil that stood up on 2 feet. It looked about 2 feet tall. The creature had light grey stripes on its body and the creature snarled.

"Who's that Pokémon?!". Drayko scanned the sinister looking creature with the Pokédex.

"Saikil: the psychotic Pokémon. A dark type. It lurks in the dark, stalking its prey. When the time is right, it lunges at the foe and slashes them to death with its sharp claws. Coexan myths say that this Pokémon was once a murderer so psychotic and sinister that it was transformed into Saikil".

While Jake and Drayko looked at Saikil with fear, Violet adored it genuinely and picked it up to eye level. "Awwww! Hi cutie! I forgot how adorable you were! You're so soft and warm and cuddly!", Violet said, hugging Saikil.

"Put that thing down! Didn't you hear it's Pokédex entry?", Jake said, trying to convince Violet to put Saikil down. "Whatever. I don't care what it says. I believe all dark types still have a warm kind personality in them. Especially this one", Violet said, still cuddling Saikil. The Pokémon then snarled and used fury swipes on Violet's face and it ran away. "Wh-What a sweet little thing that was...", Violet said before fainting.

The Saikil retreated to 2 teenangers, a boy and girl each. They both had dark, gothic style clothing and both looked about 18. The boy has dark short hair, brown eyes, pale white skin. His attire consisted of a black jacket, black jeans, and black shoes. The woman has the same color of hair and skin except her hair was longer and went slightly below shoulder level, and her eyes are green. The girl's attire consisted of a black jacket, a short black shirt, black stockings, and black shoes. Each of their jackets had a sparkling black "D" on the right side.

The woman returned Saikil, meaning it was her Pokémon. "Control your Pokémon! Look at what it did to my friend!", Drayko yelled at the woman as Violet faced her. The woman's eyes widen. "Violet? Pfft. What are you doing bothering these 2 losers?". "Shut up Ashley. Why don't you and your little boyfriend buzz off for once", Violet said. "We aren't dating, you little twerp! I swear you are getting on my last nerve...", Ashley said.

"You know these 2?", asked Drayko. "Ashley and Ash came from Tenebris City along with me. They keep calling me a coward and always harass me because I didn't join their stupid little club". "It's not a "stupid little club". Team Dusk is a legit organization with the main objective of gathering the dark and sinister Pokémon for our boss!", Ash explained.

"Judging by that black "D" on your jackets, I thought you were supposed to gather something else", Violet said, smirking. There was a silence, then Ash and Ashley blushed brightly of embarrassment. "That's it! I've had it with you dumb kids! Ash, let's beat them!", Ashley said and her and Ash took out their pokeballs and threw them, sending out Saikil and Houndour.

"Looks like its time for a battle! Come on out, Parasweet!". Drayko sends out Parasweet. "Use disarming voice!", Drayko commanded as Parasweet let's out its cry and effects the enemy Pokémon. Violet shortly sends out Weavile. "A Weavile would be perfect for Mr. Magnarex! Show no mercy and use ember!", Ash commanded Houndour. It spits out its blazes and manages to hit Weavile. "Use icy wind!". "Let's get this over with. Saikil, use fury swipes". Saikil extended its sharp claws and slashed Parasweet which caused the avian Pokémon to scream in pain and faints.

"Parasweet, return! Here's your chance Orqua! Use water gun!". Orqua shoots its water out with great force and hits Houndoor's face. It's super effective due to its fire typing. "Great work! Now use headbutt!". "Enough! Use bite!". Houndour catches Orqua with its jaw and bit down. "Use dark pulse!", Violet commanded as Weavile's dark pulse manages to hit Houndour. "It's almost done. Use water gun!". Orqua made a final hit with its water gun, causing Houndour to finally faint. Only Saikil remains. Saikil leaps in the air and targets Weavile with fury swipes. Just before Saikil can take the hit, it is knocked away by Orqua's headbutt and it lands on the ground, too exhausted to move.

"Who's the twerps now, huh?", Violet said with a grin. Ash and Ashley send back their Pokémon and retreat into the woods. "You won't get away with this!", yelled Ash and Ashley.

"You did awesome! Sorry I couldn't help thought", Jake said. "It's alright. Now that's out of the way, we can finally make it to Tenebris City!", Drayko said.

=45 minutes later=
The gang walks more along the route until they see buildings up ahead. They look rather dark with dim lights seen through the windows. It got cloudier which makes the sight even more unsettling. Violet smiles

"Welcome to my home: Tenebris City".
