28: The Mediokris Farm

Drayko, Dahlia, and Violet arrive at Mediokris City. Around the city are trees with bright pink leaves that give off a sweet scent. There are flowers all around. The city itself has many bright colors, mostly pink, white, magenta, bright green, and red. The buildings look playfully cute too. Violet looks down.

"I feel like I'm in a doll world. This place is way too pink...". Violet crosses her arms.

"I'm kinda glad Jake isn't here", said Drayko. "He'd probably cling onto me the entire time. I hope he makes it through the woods okay".

"Of course he will!", Dahlia said. "Fabula Woods has little to no hazards. He'll be fine!".

=Meanwhile, with Jake=

Jake walks through the pink woods with Scalaby, shuddering. The divine scent of the leaves fill Jake's nose, and he covers it up.

"Ugh, disgusting. This entire place is cursed. Keep your nose covered, Scalaby. You don't want the enemy to engulf your entire existence".

Scalaby stops walking and looks around the area.

Jake faced his Pokémon. "What are you doing? We gotta get out of here before something happens!".

A little Igglybuff bounces out of a bush, and looks up at Jake, puzzled.

"What are you looking at, you little punk? You are nothing, and your mother never loved you. You probably, um, get beaten physically and mentally by your father and your mother, um, stabs you every time you refuse to eat or go to sleep. Stupid little demon...".

This time, a Swirlix floats around Jake. Then, 2 more Igglybuffs come out. Jake looks around himself nervously.

"Uh oh. I think I said too much"

Several other fairy types surround Jake. Azurills, Flabebes, Jigglypuffs, Whimsicotts, and a Spritzee.

"I'm gonna die...".

=Meanwhile, at the group=

A loud scream is heard in the distance. This catches Drayko's attention. Instead of being concerned, he laughs.

"Haha, Jake probably ran into a fairy type".

Violet spots a farm up ahead, and freezes. "It's the farm from 4 years ago...".

"Oh, you mean that farm over there?". Dahlia points at the farm, and Violet nods.

A large pink equine Pokémon glares at Violet from the distance. "It's still here...the same Beautimare".

"It's okay, Violet", Dahlia said. "Times have changed.

"Yeah", said Drayko. "Let's get your fear over once and for all!".

"S-Sure I guess".

=At the farm=

Grassy fields with a few tiny flowers covered the area. Several Miltank grazed about, and there was a stable.

"Here we are!", Dahlia said happily. "Did you know that this farm produces Coex's Moomoo Milk? Special flowers are grown here, which is used for raising Flabebe and Oricorio!"

A smiling man wearing suspenders and a hat walks to the group. He looks like he's in his 40s. "Howdy. I'm Farmer Leon. What brings you here to the farm?".

"We're just here to see the Beautimare, sir", Drayko said.

"Well of course you 3 can. But it'll cost ya, I'm afraid", the Leon said, smirking at Dahlia.

Nomey pulls out a little coin from the shirt pocket, and waves it at the man.

Leon chuckles. "Haha! I'm afraid that's not enough, little fella. I'm looking for...something more"

Dahlia opens her bag up and pulls out paper bills. "I've got money. Name your price".

"Paper and coin currency is not what I need, girl. Hehehe...". Leon signals Dahlia to come close and he whispers something in her ear.

Dahlia backs up quickly and tumbled to the ground as a result. "No way! I'm not doing THAT!"

"Sorry, sweetheart. No payment, no Beautimare". Leon begins to walk away.

"Wait, sir", Dahlia said.

"Yes?"

"I got a friend who needs help as long as we get to see the Beautimare. I want to help her get over a specific fear, no matter what it takes. For my friend, I will do anything. That includes paying you".

"Wonderful, honey. Your friends can wait at the stables. Girl, come with me".

"Yes sir". Dahlia takes Nomey out and gives it to Drayko. "Hold Nomey for me. It's too innocent to see this".

=7 minutes later=

Violet is petting one of the Ponyta, and Drayko is feeding a Mudsdale a sugar cube.

"See, Nomey? Look how big he is!". Drayko put Nomey up to Mudsdale's snout and the magic Pokémon hugged it.

The stable's gate is heard opening and then slammed shut. Drayko and Violet turn around to be greeted by a traumatized Dahlia. Her clothes were uneven, and one of her hairpins were missing.

"Dahlia!", Drayko said, running to her. "Are you okay?".

"It's all in the past now. At least we can see the Beautimare. Leon said it's down that hall". Dahlia points to a hall.

In the hall, there's only 1 large stable, containing the Beautimare. This pink, white, and magenta Pokémon looked massive and strong. Beautimare looked at Violet with its shining indigo eyes, but Violet gasped and looked away. Drayko scanned Beautimare with the Pokédex.

"Beautimare: the mare Pokémon. A fairy type. Beautimare is often feared for its large powerful appearance. However, it is in fact a very kindhearted Pokémon".

"You should make eye contact. It's fine", Drayko said.

"I don't think I can!"

"It's not going to hurt you. The first thing to do is to make eye contact".

Dahlia puts a hand on Drayko's shoulder. "Listen, It's not good to be forceful...it's been a while that Violet's been here. Do you mind if me and her could be alone?".

Drayko looked down and sighed. "You can".

"Thank you, Drayko. I know you want to help her the same way that I do. Maybe you could challenge the gym?"

Drayko smiles and nods. "Where's it at?"

"You can find it on your Pokédex's map. It's beautiful in there".

"Thank you. And Violet, good luck". Drayko proceeds to walk out of the stables.

=10 minutes later=

Drayko finally found the gym. The gym light pink and dome shaped. Near the top were objects that looked like pink flower petals that rotated the building slowly. The gym was surrounded by flowers and tall grasses. In the front there was a sign that looked slightly ruined on the left top side. It read, "-ia, the joyful pink pixie!"

"Looks like the sign is ruined. I wonder who the gym leader is", Drayko thought to himself and walks through the doors.

Inside the cylindrical-shaped gym was very pink. The upper half was pink while the lower half was white. Curved benches surround the battlefield, which is different from the others Drayko has seen. This battlefield was actually round instead of rectangular. Glass covered the top of the building, letting light come through. Pink sparkles in the air reflected light, making them very shiny.

At the very end of the gym, however, had a humanlike figure. It was way shorter than a human, pink, had navy blue hair that was shaped in a woman's hairdo, had "shoes" that was the same color as the hair, and appeared to have something that looked like a skirt. The figure's face has 2 red circular objects on the cheeks, and had a smile on its face.

"That looks very similar to a Mr. Mime", Drayko thought to himself.

The figure pointed to its wrist. Drayko looks at his Pokédex, and decided to scan the figure, assuming it was a Pokémon.

"Mrs. Mime: the mime Pokémon, and the evolved form of a female Mime Jr. A psychic and fairy type..."
