19: Special delivery

2 hours have past since saving Tristan and his son from the Team Dusk duo. Drayko, Jake, and Violet are in the Pokémon center waiting for their Pokémon to heal up. The 3 are at a holophone booth chatting with Professor Arbor. Magnemite is seen floating and Poitten is lurking around the lab at Professor Arbor's side of the call.

"How's your journey so far, bud?", Professor Arbor asked Drayko. "It's going great so far! I made a new friend, caught a new Pokémon, evolved Orqua, and won 2 gym badges!". "That's great to hear. It seems like that Draconian is still with you". "Yep. Jake turns out to be an awesome travel buddy". "Your mother told me about the last time she talked to you, and mistakened him for a Pokémon, haha!". Jake grumbles to himself.

"I'm assuming you're in Drako Village to battle Tristan, correct?", Professor Arbor asked. Drayko nodded. "That's great. I wish the best of luck to you. Also, could you do me a favor?". "Sure thing, uncle. What's up?". "I need you to deliver a package to Coex Institute of Innovations. C.I.O.I for short. It's in Electrica City. Don't worry, you have to travel there anyway for your 4th gym badge after you obtained your 3rd badge from Tristan".

"Of course I can! Who's the gym leader in Electrica City anyway?", Asked Drayko. "You will be battling a girl from Kalos named Bonnie. She's the youngest gym leader in Coex being only 12 years old! Like her older brother, she specializes in electric types".

"Bonnie is the sister of Clemont. He's a gym leader in the Kalos Region", Violet said. "Now, aside from that, the package will arrive at the Pokémon center at 12:00pm tomorrow. Be sure to pick it up before you leave Drako Village!". "Got it, uncle. What's in the package?". "It's a modification for an artificial Pokémon recently created at C.I.O.I". "Awesome! What Pokémon is it?", asked Drayko.

"A normal and electric type Pokémon named E-CO. It has many forms that it can evolve into". "Wow, just like Eevee!", Jake said. "Correct you are, Jake. You 3 will learn more about E-CO once you arrive".

At Professor Arbor's side of the call, Poitten jumps onto Magnemite playfully, frightening the magnet Pokémon. It uses thunderbolt and causes a fire. The sprinklers activate, and the 2 Pokémon engage in a battle. "Gah! I need to go! Bye and good luck on all your journeys!". The call ends, and a Divivy comes out of the room with the tray of pokeballs. Jake and Violet back away, and Drayko takes the pokeballs. "Thanks, Divivy", Drayko said, petting it. The ivy Pokémon smiles back.

"Don't touch it! The enemy will take control of you and make you a killing machine!", Jake yelled. Drayko smirks and holds Parasweet's pokeball inches away from the Draconian's snout. Jake faints from shock, and Violet runs to the other side of the room. Drayko, wanting to joke around harmlessly, walks towards Violet with the pokeball. "GET AWAY FROM ME PLEASE! I BEG OF YOU! I DON'T WANT TO DIE! NOT THIS TIME! NOT EVER AGAIN!", Violet screamed, crying hard. Shocked, Drayko put away Parasweet's pokeball and tries comforting Violet.

"I-I'm so sorry...please just calm down". Drayko puts his hand onto Violet's shoulder. "DON'T STOMP ON ME, YOU BEAST!". Out of options, Drayko slapped Violet across the face. The girl finally snapped out of it. "What is wrong with you?! You acted like a psychopath! You've been like this around fairy types a lot, and I want to know what is going on!", Drayko exclaimed.

"Fine. I don't like talking about it, but I will do it for you. It all started when I was 7 years-". Violet was interrupted by the nurse coming into the lobby. "What are you kids yelling about? I could hear you all the way from the other side!". "N-Nothing ma'am. Let's just go to our quarters", Violet said and speed walks towards the quarters. Jake soon regains consciousness and stands up.

"I had this horrible dream. It had you and Parasweet's pokeball in it. Where's Violet?", Jake asked Drayko. She's in the trainer's quarters. Let's rest here tonight. It wasn't a nightmare, draggy. Let's go".

=11:25pm=

Violet is fast asleep while Drayko and Jake are sitting on their beds, facing each other. The only light in the room is a dim lamp resting on a nightstand between Drayko and Jake's beds.

"This is my father you're battling against. I hope you have a plan". "I really don't". "Let's get started with actually having a plan! My father specializes in dragon types. They are weak to ice, dragon, and the enemy". "The enemy meaning fairy?". Jake nods.

Drayko lays in bed and stares up to the ceiling. "I'll think things through tonight. Thanks for the advice". "Of course. Holler if you need me". Jake is knocked out cold and snores lightly in his sleep. Drayko closes his eyes and falls asleep.
