Sang
By the time I finally found the room the guys were meeting in I was so fed up with stupid doors and more annoyed than I had been earlier, but no less shaky. I was afraid to admit the fact that the likelihood of me having a full blown panic attack after I stopped being pissed and terrified was through the roof. When I finally burst in the room of Academy boys still very tired of opening countless doors (89 including this one) I didn't know whether to be relieved I'd found them or panicked as to how I was going to explain my finding the photo. I went for bold and brave, since anything else would end up in me having a mental breakdown or something.
The second I slammed the photo in front of Mr. Perfect himself I watched his reaction like a hawk, his surprisingly intrigued interest wasn't hard to miss as I pointed to Him. "Trouble what the f*** is going on?!" Gabriel shouted as he stood from his chair half the room followed his action, I chose not to answer him. "Listen I didn't intentionally find this photo, I was getting a glass out of the cabinet and knocked it off the counter by accident, the photo was lying on the ground face up and I couldn't help but..." I stopped in my rant to Owen as I realized I was about to tell them something that would put them in more danger than any of them knew.
"But what Peanut?" Nate asked with a frown, I shook my head at him as I started to hyperventilate. This couldn't be happening, I couldn't win in this situation. So do I tell them and hope I can stop them from getting killed or not tell them and have them hate me forever while they could still get killed not knowing what they're in for? "Pookie, I need you to breath for me, everything is going to be just fine." Sean was at my side as I steadied my breathing chuckling darkly to myself. "Don't you get it NOTHING IS OKAY ANYMORE!" I couldn't help but shout, the guys stared at me in shock.
"What are you talking about Sang Baby?" North grunted to me in question, I groaned at my internal dilemma. Tell them or don't tell them. Give them a shot at survival or have them killed for sure. The choice was easy to make, admitting it and everything that went along with it, not so much. "Ms. Sorenson do you know the man in this photo?" I froze as Owen's question hit the nail right on the head. "No Mr. Blackbourne I know the MEN in that photo, and I also know the extent of what they are capable of, which you obviously haven't got a clue about or we wouldn't be talking right now." I murmured staring into those intense steel grey eyes as the guys cursed around me.
"Aggele, I don't understand." Silas said softly his confusion clear in his features, I turned to him with a sigh. "Superman if you had any idea what those men are capable of, what I'M capable of, you wouldn't want anything to do with me or my life. Trust me." I spat the words out, however painful it was to admit, they were 100% true. "You really don't give us enough credit Cupcake." Luke pouted towards me, I wanted to cry knowing his tune would soon change once he learned what I was about to tell them.
"Wait, let me get this straight we've been working this case since the day after you got here and haven't gotten a single clue on mystery guy, and now you're telling us that you know who these guys are?!" Brandon was slack jawed at my nod. "Sang these men aren't good people are you sure you aren't mistaking them for some other group?" Axel tried to reason and I smiled tightly his way, it was sweet that he tried but I knew better. "Axel, I couldn't forget them if I tried, I know what they're capable of, you... don't." I sighed out as I slouched into an empty chair, rubbing my temples with a tired moan.
"Who are they?" Kota questioned softly, he was treating me like a wounded animal, and honestly I wasn't far from being one. "The three in the background I call the main goons the two flanking your 'mystery guy' are Greg and Rocky they back him up full time. I know them from a long time ago, and I really wish I didn't, those three are the ones that jumped me at the shooting range." I chuckled humorlessly as I shrugged sadly to the group, more curses flew around the room, this time louder and angrier. "I should have shot them." Raven growled, I just smiled sadly to him.
"So you know this mystery guy?" Sean asked the crease in his brows spelling a sentence I knew weighed heavily on me. "You could say something like that, I haven't seen him in a few years though." I snorted my reply. "How did you recognize him if you haven't seen him in so long of a time?" Corey, sweet and curious, and so worth keeping alive. "I couldn't forget his face if I tried, but that tattoo on the side of his neck sealed the deal." I said firmly as I pointed to the point in the photo the guys passed the picture around as they took in that piece of information in silence.
"Little bird, what does his tattoo have to do with anything?" Raven asked his accent thick since I could see he was fighting his own anger. "Yeah, anyone can have the same exact tattoo as this guy." Nathan agreed, if only that were true. "Ms. Sorenson are you certain this is the man you believe him to be, the tattoo is not very visible in this photo." Owen asked all businesslike. "As certain as the fact that I know that tattoo is a swirled design of devil horns, and as sure as the fact that he lives with a limp because of an old bullet wound." I stated. "How do you know he limps because of a bullet wound?" Marc questioned curiously.
"Because I'm the one that shot him." I grunted back to their surprise. "Sang, who is this man?" Axel quizzed, I knew by the look on his face I couldn't put off telling them anymore, they needed to know for their own safety, even if it made them hate me. "His name's Devin Knocks, the most dangerous man in New York city, most call him Devil which fits his tattoo, but a select few call him Dev for short." I started, taking a deep breath before I continued. "He's someone you don't cross unless you want him to kill everyone and everything you care about or love." I added.
"We have reason to believe they had something to link in with the Russian mafia." Axel said, I chuckled with the shake of my head, these guys knew nothing. "Axel, Dev isn't just a link he runs the branch that's in New York, he is the Russian mafia." I spat out as the guys gasped and cursed around me at my words, if they thought that was shocking they were in for a big surprise. "Princess who is this guy to you?" I held my breath as Victor's question dug up the one part I was dreading to answer most about him, but it was something they had to know. "My Fiance." I knew the moment the words left my mouth I couldn't take them back, but that didn't stop me from wishing that I could.
