Nightmare WARNING

~Sang's nightmare--- Pain. Everything was pain, but with pain came confirmation I was alive, for now. I had made it home before I collapsed, I knew I wouldn't have long before the monster came looking for me, I had to escape. I fought the pain as I crawled to the bathroom as quietly as I could, please don't let me wake the beast. I knew the moment I heard the screech my plea had been ignored. "What are you doing here you little w***e, getting blood all over my floor!!!" I couldn't speak, I didn't dare, it would only make things worse. "You come crawling back like the disgusting pest that you are, I'll show you what happens to pests around here!" I winced at the screech as she disappeared for a moment, I couldn't move I was at the mercy of my torturer.

I could feel the darkness starting to take over again but I fought it along with the pain, if it won I would be dead. I watched as she returned, cowering internally at the blade she held. I knew there was no use pleading, this woman had no heart. I closed my eyes as she kicked me until I lay flat on my stomach, the pain turned to numbness as it always seemed to now. That did not stop even as I felt her dig her knees into my bruised body, however as she raised her hand I let my eyes close, no use fighting her. I felt the plunge of the blade as it dug deep in my back the slicing and tearing and pain. This time I screamed as I felt my fight leaving, I screamed for my life, and I knew I could never give up as long as I was breathing, I would fight.~

My nightmare had awoken me in the early hours of the morning, I lay in my bed staring at the ceiling as tears leaked from my eyes, unable to control them. Nuka whined as he crawled up to nuzzle into my side and I wrapped my arms around him silently, holding onto him for every ounce of comfort I craved. What that woman had done to me could never be forgiven, I had made peace with that when I escaped but her memory still haunted my nightmares, just as her actions left reminders across my body, never truly gone.

I noticed I was shaking from nerves, I needed to calm down and one of my best stress relievers was running, the other one required a more controlled setting. I really needed to look into that, don't want to get to rusty with my background. I checked the time again, 4 in the bloody morning, these nightmares seemed set on ruining my sleep as well as my life. I huffed as I got out of bed, throwing on a pair of work out clothes and tying up my tennis shoes, no reason for breakfast now I wouldn't be able to keep it down. "Alright boys let's go for a run." I called, clipping on leashes as all three of my boys dutifully followed me.

I set off for a long run, no dog park stops today, I needed to run off my nerves if I was going to be able to work at the Diner later. I made it home by 6:25, sweaty and sore but calmer than I'd been that morning. I put on a pot of coffee, making sure the dogs had food and water before heading up to take a relaxing bath. By the time I was finished and dressed it was a little after 7, so I let the dogs out one more time before I left, put my coffee in a travel cup (guess I'm drinking it at the Diner) let the dogs back in and decided to ride my Harley this morning, she could get me there quicker anyway, I didn't want to be late.

I dodged traffic with ease so much happier to finally be back on Harper again, and I made it to the Diner with three minutes to spare. I didn't miss North's jaw dropping as I skidded my beauty of a bike into a parking spot and took off my helmet, ha and he thought I couldn't ride. "Good morning North, best close your mouth before you catch a fly." I smirked, sipping my coffee as I headed into the Diner, leaving a silent and stunned North behind me. I quickly said greetings to the rest of the boys, downed my coffee and headed into the kitchen to get to work, even as I heard the front door open. I was starting up some pancake batter when Luke came in and gave me a funny look. "Are you okay there Cupcake?" He questioned, I was starting to get far too used to being called anything but my actual name.
