The Girl That No One Noticed...

Chapter 61

                                                Sang

"Urgh! What is with you people and waking me up from sweet dreamy bliss?!" I growled at Brandon as he pushed me into the bathroom, Nathan stayed curled up in the bed. I glared at the clock on the bathroom wall when Brandon closed the door so I couldn't scowl at him anymore. The guy may have been a more than decent date but I definitely was not enjoying this morning after, considering the clock on the wall stated it was 5:30 in the morning and I was being forced awake and into the bathroom to shower when all I wanted was sleep.

 Nuka groaned as he curled up on the bathroom rug and went back to sleep, at least he agreed with me about it being way to stinking early. "Lucky mutt." I huffed softly to him as I reached down to scratch his ears once before I started to get my stuff together for a quick shower. "Gabe won't be showing up this morning since he had something else he needed to do but he said to wear whatever so I threw some stuff in a bag and put it under the sink." Brandon called through the door, I sighed at the small blessing of not being poked and prodded at this time of day without having my morning coffee.

 I finished in the shower as quickly as possible and dried off as I went to get my clothes from under the sink, I smiled to myself when I saw what Brandon had grabbed for me. Inside the bag were my black leather boots, a pair of jeans, a dark royal blue t-shirt and my new black leather jacket, and of course the underwear to match. I changed quickly, sighing happily at the familiar outfit that I had been missing lately, along with something else I had been missing pretty strongly lately.

 I shook the thoughts of my bike from my head as I focused on pulling my hair back in a pony-tail and leaving the bathroom with a sigh, Nuka reluctantly following behind me. The guys had already gone back to bed leaving me awake on my own and I silently cursed them for making me function this early for two mornings in a row. I made sure to leave food out for Duke and Billy once they woke up and filled Nuka's bowl before making up some more pity coffee for myself. 

I was half-way through the pot when I heard the knock on the door, with some effort I uncurled myself from my comfy spot on the couch and went to see who had decided to disturb my sleep this morning for our date. "Good morning Sang Baby, ready for our date?" I must admit for a moment I thought about slamming the door in his face, it was way to early to be dealing with Mr. Broody pants himself but I had to at least try to be civil in order to have the same returned to me.

 "North Star might I ask why we're up at the butt crack of dawn when I very much want to be in bed right now?" I sighed as I eyed his jeans and jacket, taking note that he was hiding something behind his back, I narrowed my eyes a little suspicious of what it was but stood my ground. "So even though you're already dressed for it I guess you don't want to take a ride with me?" North questioned gruffly as he raised his brow and brought what he had hidden behind his back in front of him, lazily smirking at me.

 I wanted to smack the look off his face but seeing what he had in his hands had me very much awake even faster than the coffee I'd drank, he was holding a bike helmet and not just any bike helmet, MY bike helmet. "Wait do you mean 'ride' ride with you as in on your bike behind you or do you mean ride with you as in along side you?" I thought the question was a fairly decent one but he froze a moment before chuckling deeply to himself. "You'll have to come outside to find out." North raised and I huffed at him, curse the boy for knowing my weakness in my persistent curiosity.
