It didn't take me long to find the music room, since the mental map I'd designated for it was still fresh in mind. I walked in and went straight to the grand piano, I parked my butt on the bench seat with a sigh as I ran my fingers over the keys. I couldn't help but hesitate to play, it had been so long since I'd had the chance, what if I couldn't do it anymore? I grunted to myself as I shook the doubts from my mind, right now I just needed to play, whether I was good or not could come later.

 I slowly tested a few of the keys and my heart ached to free my emotions through my fingers as the familiar notes rang through the silent room. I didn't hesitate anymore as I played out my emotions on the keys, letting all the pain, sorrow, fear and hate melt away with the music. The song wasn't anything specific, just an original I'd made up once upon a time, and I couldn't hold back from letting the lyrics tumble out through my lips.

"We all have pains and sorrows in this world around us, 

we all have things that bring us down.

 never giving in to the monsters all around us.

The pains and sorrows I have suffered 

are things no one should have to go through,

I know I'm not alone in these horrid things untold,
