"So what now?" I inquired to the group of boys, as they shared another look, I really needed to learn the trick of talking without words, or moving. "Now we go to your house and see if there are any new clues, and set up some security for you." North grunted as the others nodded their agreement, I could see why they worked so well together. "Alright, well I'm going to run home and grab a quick bath, then you can come on over." I stated as I headed for the door, all the boys stood from their chairs, what weird old timers show is this then? "You should have someone with you in case these f***ers are snooping around Trouble and I volunteer as f***ing tribute!" Gabe stated as he rushed to my side, the other guys gave their protest.
"Meanie I am perfectly capable of taking care of myself, I've done so for a long time now, I think I can last an hour or so without having an entourage. I do appreciate the hunger games tribute though." I huffed, crossing my arms as I gave the guys a look of annoyance. "What if they're armed?" Corey questioned logically, in my short time knowing the guys I would have to say he was the most logical of the group, Blackbourne was just uptight. "So am I." I stated curtly as I slapped Slou on the table before picking her up spinning her in my hand and replacing her in her usual place at my ankle. "That was a knife, Peanut why do you have a knife?" Nathan seemed stunned by the fact as I shrugged.
"Slou is solely for protection purposes and easy enough to keep hidden." I replied lightly. "So you name your knives too." Brandon scowled towards Raven for some reason, the Russian appeared to be pulling a Luke he was so bright eyed, boys are weird. "Yep." I replied, popping the P as I nodded. "Fine you can be okay for a f***ing hour Trouble but I call dibs on washing your hair when I get there, can you at least give me that?" Gabriel pouted as he touched my hair gently, the other guys scolded him as I mulled over the idea. "I think I can handle that much Meanie, even if it is an unusual request." I smiled back with a shrugged as he beamed his grin back to me. "Alright then, I will be seeing you and your f***ing gorgeous hair in an hour Trouble." Gabe stated as he pushed me towards the door, I called goodbye to my boys and headed for home with a smile on my face.
The moment I got home I went straight to my bathroom and washed up as quickly as possible, afterwards I dressed in a light blue spaghetti strap tank top and light grey shorts. I usually used these as pajamas but I wasn't feeling like wearing jeans so I chose something more comfortable. I got a text from the boys saying they would be another hour so checking my watch I took note that I had time to spare and figured I would make up some lunch for everyone, good thing I liked to cook for big groups. I padded downstairs to the kitchen with my four legged bodyguards in tow, going to the fridge I decided to make some Greek lasagna (Pastitsio).
I remembered Silas saying how much he missed the food of his homeland, so I was going to bring a little of Greece to the Greek, and knowing how much they could eat thanks to the short time at Uncle's Diner I was going to need a lot of it. I decided to do four large dishes and went to work, quickly layering each of them with the traditional way of things and got them in the over as quickly as possible. Then I got to work on the dessert, I had quickly chosen Baklava since it was one of my favorites to make and eat, the prep was quick and I put them in the oven in record time. I finally finished the prep part and set about something I knew would make North the health nut happy, a delicious cucumber Greek salad, putting it in the fridge to cool as I waited for everything to finish cooking, the house smelled amazing already.
