Axel kept his eyes tightly shut, trying desperately to block out the cries of agony that Jo was making while her mother patched her up. As soon as he saw her violent injury, he had just walked to another part of the store, claiming that he wanted to quickly get a hold of Bobby, but it wasn't entirely true. A part of him wanted to contact Bobby, sure, but mostly he just didn't want to look at Jo losing all her blood. He knew that he was to blame. She was coming to save him. He knew that it was all his fault. And, now he wasn't able to face the consequences of his actions. He wasn't able to look at Jo while she was bleeding to death because of him.

"Axel?" The blue-eyed hunter snapped his eyes open at his name. He looked to his left and saw the Dean standing there. "Um, I need that thing," He pointed out at an electronic object on the shelf next to Axel. "I'm almost done making a radio to contact Bobby."

Axel stared at the younger hunter for a couple of seconds before stepping back so that he could take the object he wanted. Dean didn't say a word as he took the object and turned, ready to go back to where he was fiddling with electronic stuff in order to make a working radio.

"How's she holding up?" Axel asked, causing Dean to freeze on spot for a moment. He turned his face to look at the blue-eyed hunter. The expression in his eyes was enough for Axel to guess the answer.

"What about you? How are you holding up?" Dean eventually asked in response.

"Me? My insides aren't spilled out on the floor," Axel replied in a bitter tone.

"Exactly," Dean stated before continuing in an almost hard tone. "Jo's got her guts ripped open, and you don't. But you still act like you've got it worse."

"Excuse me?" Axel frowned at him.

"Get your head in the game, man," Dean told him. "Jo's got her guts out and she's still trying to figure out a plan for us to get out of here and find the Devil. You should be the one looking for a plan, not her. So, yeah, I know Jo might not make it, and I know nothing's going according to plan, but you're not the only one shaken up by all this. We all are. But, it's not the right time for that. All that matters right now is to find a way to get out of here before it gets worse for Jo."

"He's right," Alayna remarked as she approached the two men who turned their heads to look at her. "The only thing holding back the hellhounds is the salt lines."

"Which make us safe for now," Dean declared, his green eyes looking straight into the girls brown eyes.

"Yeah, safe or trapped like rats," Axel muttered loud enough for Dean and Alayna to hear him before he walked off.

"He's got a point, you know," Alayna stated in almost a whisper once the dark-haired hunter was away. Dean looked up at the brunette, only to find a mask of sadness covering her entire face. "Maybe, we should find a way to get out and just run away. I mean, yesterday we thought it was a good plan, but we were eight. And, now with Cas gone to God knows where and Jo's condition... We're not enough to fight."

"Hey, all we need is one hunter to shoot that son of a bitch in the face," Dean replied.

"Yeah, and who's it gonna be? You? Dean, you're all over the place." Alayna crossed her arms.

"And, you're not?"

"Yeah," Alayna immediately replied. "Yeah. Because, like you pointed it out, it's not the right time to think about anything else."

"So, what do you suggest? We run away?" Dean asked and Alayna looked away. "C'mon. You heard Meg, Alayna. Her parents are here. This is our one shot. We gotta take it, no matter what."

"Okay," She nodded, her voice low. "Alright, you wanna take this shot? Okay then, what's your plan? Because, so far we're trapped in the middle of a place crawling with reapers with no way out, and one of our friends is dying." She pointed out looking at him with stoney eyes.
