Caterina blinked at her surroundings. She was inside a large manor and a few dozen people surrounded her. She was trying to find the woman who had invited here - Rubin, she had introduced herself as - but she was no where. Her hands worked to smooth out her elegant ball gown, copper colored.
"Caterina," the girl blinked up to see the brunette she had been previously looking for. She was wearing a burgundy dress, one that was much nicer than her own. Behind her was a man with longish brown curls and dressed up nicely. Caterina couldn't help but notice how handsome he was.
The man simply stared at her with fascination, much to Caterina's confusion. "Forgive me. You remind me of someone." He said softly, his mind returning to the first doppelganger. Tatia. The girl he, Elijah, and Niklaus were to retrieve for Michael all those centuries ago.
"Caterina, may I introduce the Lord Castiel." Ruby said.
"Pleasure, my lord." Caterina told him with a small smile.
"The pleasure is mine, Caterina." Castiel kissed the back of Caterina's hand delicately. Castiel led her through the crowd after Rubin left their side.
"So where is this mysterious host we've heard so much about?" Caterina asked him.
"Late," Castiel looked over at Caterina in curiosity, before hearing the footsteps of his fellow Angel approaching. "That's him," Caterina was curious as to what he looked like and scanned the crowd, waiting for them to move so they could see him.
The man who came towards them had blue-green eyes, dimples, and sandy blond hair that reached passed his shoulder. His eyes took in the brunette doppelganger with interest. "Caterina, may I introduce to you the Lord Elijah." Castiel nodded towards the man as he reached over and kissed Caterina's hand.
Present
"Let me guess, another hit of swine flu," Alayna was saying into the phone that she had placed on speaker. Her and Karoline had stayed behind this time while the boys checked out a possible hit on Pestilence. It was the boys idea. After Karoline brought up the plan of using only her for the sealing of the cage the boys wanted them on around the clock watch in case any of the girls decided to go on a suicide mission.
"Yep," came Dean's reply. She was probably on speaker phone.
She heard the upstairs room door open and close and Alayna stopped. That must be Karoline waking up. Knowing that, she turned and grabbed a mug down to make her sister a cup of the freshly brewed coffee.
"It doesn't make any sense, Alayna," Sam's voice pulled her attention back to her phone that sat on the counter. "Pestilence touched down here. I'm sure of it."
"But, why is he dealing them soft serve like swine flu when he's got the croatoan virus up his sleeve?" Dean brought up the question they were all thinking. "I-I-I don't get it."
"It doesn't matter," Alayna shrugged with a heavy sigh, pouring some of the creamer into the mug. The black coffee turned to a light brown as she stirred it gently. "What matters is that this the fourth town he's hit and we have no idea where he is." She looked up as Karoline entered the kitchen at a groggy pace. "Do you even know where his next target is?"
"Uh, no pattern we can see." Sam admitted.
Alayna breathed out a heavy sigh and Karoline frowned at her. "The boys?" She asked quietly and Alayna nodded, sliding her the coffee. She took a big sip for waving for Alayna to hand her the phone. She did. "Yo," Karoline spoke into the phone. "As far as I can tell he's heading east."
