Elijah leaned back against the white car that was all too familiar to him by now, curious as to where Karoline was. He knew she was supposed to be at this house, her, the Doppelganger and those two Winchesters they kept around all split up to try and deal with their zombie problem. Then he spotted her. She had her back to him as she came out of the house talking about some home redecoration ideas with the lady she was lying to. Her curls were pulled back into a high ponytail and she was smiling widely, no indication that she was lying was shown on her face. He took a moment to observe the hand motions she always seemed to talk with before taking a look around the suburban neighborhood he found himself in.
"Right, so if you need anything just give me a call." Karoline told the woman and he heard the door close softly. He pushed off the car and waited patiently as she let out a sigh and pulled at the obviously restricting pant suit she found herself in.
"Hello."
Karoline turned around quickly and with a sharp gasp, gripping the stair railing. "E-Elijah..." She murmured and he stepped closer. She side stepped him and headed down the other side of the steps.
"Forgive the intrusion. I don't mean you harm." He looked around the driveway once more to check that they were indeed alone, before looking at her again. She was both frightened and curious, but there was something in her eyes, something he recognized. "You've been visited by Lucifer, have you not?"
She didn't answer, her lips pressing into a firm line, "Why...why are you here?"
"I came to check on you." He replied. He was calmly remaining in his spot as she moved to put the car between the two of them. "And to talk to you." He glanced at the girl out of the corner of his eye. She was slipping the blazer off her shoulders to reveal the light green blouse she was wearing. She was nervously shifting from foot to foot, occasionally stopping to bite her nails and eye him.
"Are you going to take me to Lucifer and Charity?" She finally asked. "Is that why you killed those Demons?"
He turned to face her fully, hands clasped behind his back. Showing her that she had need not be fearful of him. "No. I killed them to keep you safe. Lucifer and Charity have yet to locate you and I plan to keep it that way."
Curious, Karoline tilted her head. "Why?"
"Because," He flashed over to her, taking her chin in his fingers before she could think about fleeing, though she did jump. "It is not my intention to hurt you or to cause you any pain." She gazed at him, conflicting emotions in her bright blue eyes. She did relax slightly, but still watched him warily.
"Don't you work for Lucifer?"
He smiled bitterly. "Once, but no longer."
"Did he hurt you?" Karoline asked, slightly concerned for the Angel. Elijah was touched by her worriment for him. "Is he really as terrible as I've heard?"
"Worse, I'm afraid." He murmured. "And to answer your question, he has hurt me... in a manner of speaking. He took something very near and dear to me."
"Oh... So... you want to use me to get what you want? Me and Alayna?"
"Honestly I do not. Therefore, it is imperative that he knows nothing of where you are. When it is necessary, I will reveal Alayna to Lucifer to draw him here."
Karoline shook her head. "You can't use Alayna like that. She doesn't deserve it."
"I would rather not tell him that you are here, Miss Van Allen."
"But you know that would make him come here sooner." Karoline pointed out. Elijah arched an eyebrow.
"You're willing to give yourself over to save your sister?"
